Laura and Ciera discuss strategy on Survivor: Blood Vs. Water

by Gina Scarpa

They can say they want to play the game of Survivor together, but you know a piece of Aras and Vytas were clamoring to duke it out over on Redemption Island to prove who was top dog. Up against Tina, the trio used grappling hooks to retrieve a ball to guide through a table maze.

The Survivor: Australian Outback winner was posed to take first place, but dropped her ball right at the very end. Vytas came behind from last place to secure his spot in the game, while Tina was able to finish the maze before Aras could. I had higher hopes for Aras at Redemption but then again, I'm sure he did too.

Back at camp, Ciera has fully realized she can't win the game if her mom hangs around much longer. She tells her straight up that she doesn't have a shot in hell of making it to the end, never mind winning, which is a tough pill to swallow for the Survivor: Samoa player.

The immunity challenge is a familiar one: hold onto a rope as long you can or fall in the water. Well, this seems built for a female player to win. Cue Hayden and Caleb crashing into the sea. Amazingly Tyson, who only has ONE GOOD ARM, is able to make it all the way to the end but Monica was able to hold on the longest. Eh, she wasn't going anyway... yet.

Even though Ciera said she'd be okay with her mom going, she's not really of course. So she digs for information and finds out that Katie doesn't have the idol. It's amazingly how quickly Katie was willing to give up that information, considering that her back is really up against a wall. Actually, while we're on the topic, it's funny that she's in a bad position because she is a great swing vote or person to take to the end.

At tribal council, not only did Laura go but Ciera wrote her mother's name down, which stung a bit. However, it was a strategic move on her part because she tried her hardest to prove her loyalty. Now, we'll see if the guys are really interested in taking her deep into this game.
