Tonight the Top 12 contestants performed, here are the best of the best: 

 

Jacquie Lee

Her performance last week was so good it left me wondering how in the world she was going to top it! Christina wanted to give her material that was a little more current to prove her versatility. She chose the Jack White version of "Love is Blindness", and while I liked her performance last week better, she still rocked it. I mean, she's 16 years old and she can sing a 40s melody just as well as a current rock song. Amazing. 

 

Kat 

Last week, Kat toned down her usual rocker style and her fans didn't like it. She and Cee-lo decided to give the people what they wanted, and she took the stage performing "Sail" by AWOLNATION". Completing the first ever crowd surf, she was defiant, edgy, and downright dark. It was genius! 

 

Tessanne

Adam proclaimed that she had a godliness in her voice, and compared her to the likes of Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston. She proved that in her performance tonight, singing Eméli Sande's "My Kind of Love". Good lord that woman can blow! 

Matthew 

This week, Matthew stripped it down, singing an old classic, "Hallelujah" but his voice soared across that stage! His parents were in tears, and Christina just raved about his performance. He really has the ability to make people feel beautiful things with his voice - a true artist. 

 

Cole

Wanting to do something totally different, Blake gave him the hit R&B song "Adorn" originally performed by Miguel. Austin demonstrated his awesomeness by performing this song because it showed that he can transcend any genre. 

 

Tomorrow, any number of contestant from a team can go home, and there is a new twist that Carson is calling the instant save!! To find out what that's all about and who the top 10 contestants are, stay tuned!
