Vanderpump Rules Season 2's Katie Maloney

We're just days away from the season premiere of Bravo's hit show, Vanderpump Rules. The first season was a huge success and soon, we'll be able to catch up with our favorite Sur employees. Bravo promises it'll be sexy, entertaining, and of course, full of drama. Today, we talked to Katie to see how life has changed and dig for dirt on the new season of Vanderpump Rules!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's the biggest difference for the cast, going into the first season of and now going into the second?
A. Katie: Obviously, going into it, I didn't know what to expect. We gave it everything we had and we're really happy it came back.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: The show was really popular with Bravo viewers. What have you noticed about the fans over the last year?
A. Katie: There's a lot more action on social media now. I think I had a few followers on Twitter and now, it's just really cool to have that immediate feedback. You tweet along with the show and you have that instant gratification.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Throughout the season, there was a lot of drama between everyone. How did that affect all of you when the cameras stopped rolling initially?
A. Katie: Definitely once the dust settled, you kind of see... how do I say this? Things sort of continued as they were a little bit and you'll see a little of that. There were less drinks being thrown, though. You'll have to see.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: People may not realize it but you all really do work at Sur, and people must come in and try to talk to you or take pictures when you're waiting on them, right?
A. Katie: Yeah, but it's really cool! I don't know many shows that take place in a place where we actually work there and we wait on them. It's just tough when people want to find out who's dating who... there's a lot that people don't know as well. It's difficult to answer questions when people have one idea of you.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Last season, you weren't shown speaking up very much when people were arguing. Is that an accurate representation of who you are?
A. Katie: I do speak up! I don't often keep quiet and shy away from confrontation. My voice isn't as loud as the others on the show, but I'm more even keeled and prone to pick and choose my battles. I definitely stand my ground a little more this season.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's going on with your career out in California? Are you still pursuing music?
A. Katie: Well, I still am a music fanatic and would hopefully love to do more music. I also like to play around with and style hair. I can turn that into a career. I'm definitely trying to do more with that - take courses, get licensed, and do editorial work.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How is your relationship with Tom and did the show affect things at all in a good or bad way?
A. Katie: It's very good! The show didn't really change anything. I worried that maybe it would create tension, with people being involved in our lives, but actually we're really good. We're happy with the show and happy to be a part of it. I think our relationship is progressing organically and naturally.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What can you tell us about Season 2?
A. Katie:
Oh my gosh! It's really hard to say without giving too much away. You'll see where we left off and you'll see a change in dynamics. You're gonna see some explosions. It gets really, really intense. There's a lot of change and I think a majority of Sur employees are happy still but there are changes that happen. I wish I could tell you, but it's going to be entertaining.

Vanderpump Rules premieres Monday night, November 4, on Bravo at 8/7c.
