The Voice Season 5: The Battles Part 4 - Olivia Henken and Stephanie Anne Johnson

by Jessica Blackwell

It's the last night of the battles before the knockouts begin, and while only a few contestants performed, here are the favorites of the night:

Barry Black vs. Preston Pohl

When I found out that Adam paired these two together, my heart started racing, because they are two of my favorites! Adam put them together because they both love soul music, and he gave them an oldie by The Temptations to perform for their battle. They hit the stage and performed a soulful rendition of "I Wish it Would Rain" and killed it! Adam chose Preston as the winner, and I'm shocked that no one snatched up Barry!

Olivia Henken vs. Stephanie Anne Johnson

Christina gave these ladies "Done" by The Band Perry, a song that was more Olivia's genre. Stephanie was determined to rise to the occasion and give Olivia a run for her money - and boy did she! These ladies brought the battles to an end with a bang as they competed on stage to head to the knockouts with Team Christina.  Christna chose Olivia to move on with her, but Cee-lo put a play into motion that he had going for a while! All throughout the battles, Cee-lo has kept his hands off the steal button, waiting to catch an artist like her and he finally has her.

Next week, the contestants get work with their coaches one on one for the first time, as the knockout rounds get started. Usually the judges don't get any more steals after the battles are over, but the show's producers threw a twist in and will allow each coach ONE steal during the knockouts! This should be interesting, so stay tuned!

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm EST on NBC.
