Judd, Andy, McCrae, and Amanda of Big Brother 15

Last night's episode of Big Brother picked up where we last left off on Thursday night - at the HOH competition. Spencer, Candice, and Helen are the first three to fall and even though they're out of power, they do get to choose a box to open. Spencer has to talk through a bullhorn until after the nomination ceremony, Candice wins $5K, and Helen gets a barbecue party for her and three houseguests (which turns into a whole nightmare we'll discuss in a minute).

When the competition gets down to the final two, Gina Marie starts throwing deals at McCrae left and right so he'll quit and she can just have the title of HOH. This pizza boy isn't about to give up that easily! He's not in an alliance with her, plus he has to worry about protecting Amanda too. As the log speeds up underneath their feet, McCrae ends up losing his balance and Gina Marie finally gets an HOH victory!

Aaryn gets to sit pretty for another week, and makes it known to Gina Marie that Candice should be the target this week. Why they're not going after... oh, I don't know... ANYONE ELSE is beyond me. Nominating or evicting Candice or Spencer this week is a complete waste of an HOH. They are not in power and in fact, have no alliances at all. Why not take this opportunity to strike at the alliance that's been running this game since the very beginning?

Helen contemplates who to invite to the barbecue, but is set on Elissa and Helen. Elissa is her closest friend, and Aaryn held up her end of the bargain last week to let Helen pick the nominees for eviction. Jessie is extremely upset that she wasn't picked, despite the fact that she is on the bottom of the totem pole in their alliance AND considered flipping and voting for Amanda last week. After Jessie complains one too many times about the barbecue, Amanda flips out on her, tells her no one likes her, and that she'll be the one going home this week. You know you're acting like a jerk when your own boyfriend won't even defend you and McCrae is not happy about the way things played out between the girls.

At the nomination ceremony, Gina Marie plays it safe by putting up Candice and Jessie. While she justifies her decision by calling Candice a rat and a drama queen, the other houseguests burst into laughter. They're not laughing at the nominees, but at the HOH herself for her ridiculous speech.
