Big Brother 15: Week 5 Eviction Recap

Spencer of Big Brother 15

And the award for the worst campaigners in the history of Big Brother go to... drum roll... Howard and Candice! First, Howard rambled on in a speech that made no sense to his houseguests about whatever whatever, then Candice lost her mind on Spencer, one of the few people in the house who wasn't gunning for her.

Spencer tries to rally the numbers in his favor to get rid of Amanda, so that he can keep both Howard and Candice in the house this week. He and Howard make a deal with Andy and Judd, but Andy runs right back to Amanda to let her know about the plan. Amanda confronts Spencer about it, and he tries to deflect by saying he knows he doesn't have the numbers and is after Candice. Helen overhears this and stirs up trouble by telling Candice that Spencer is actually coming after her, causing Candice to shout at him in front of basically the entire house.

Between Amanda trying to strong arm anyone who goes against her and Helen running smear campaigns in the house, I'm really not sure who the bigger bully is. When it comes to gameplay, Aaryn looks tamer and tamer every day...

At the eviction ceremony, everyone gives their shoutouts to their families and tells people to vote with their hearts. Original. "Sadly", everyone votes to evict Howard, with the exception of Spencer who throws his vote to Candice to save face after that horrible confrontation in the backyard. Outside of the house with Julie, he acknowledges that Amanda, McCrae, and Helen are running the game and also admits that it was hard to hold back when racist comments were made. In case anyone was hoping for a romance post-Big Brother, Howard clarifies that he and Candice are just friends.

The HOH competition gets underway, and players stand on a rotating log and hold onto a bull's head as long as possible. If they let go and it hits the china across the way (get it?), they're out. Watching Elissa, Gina Marie, and Helen try to get their footing was hilarious, especially with Andy walking calmly alongside them. We're left to wait until Wednesday to find out who wins. Who are you rooting for?

Find out who becomes the new HOH on Big Brother, Wednesday at 8/7c on CBS.
