With the exception of last season of The Challenge, rookies never seem to last too long. This time around, on Rivals 2, it was Anastasia and Jessica of The Real World Portland who found themselves up for elimination very early on. As if facing going home wasn't bad enough, she realized that she was being played by CT, who was still looking to rekindle things with longtime love Diem. Jessica and Anastasia ended up losing against Cara Maria and Cooke and afterwards, Anastasia sat down to talk to RealityWanted about her time in Thailand.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How long was the period in between filming Real World Portland and Rivals 2?
A. Anastasia: There was a few months. I think there was five months in between but our show had literally started airing right when we started filming. It was unfortunate to miss the premiere of my season.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You and Jessica don't seem like rivals as much as other people on the show. In fact, as Real World was winding down, it seemed like you two were putting aside your differences.
A. Anastasia: Definitely. We're like sisters. One minute, we're fighting and the next minute, we're running down the beach. I know there were quite a few people who had more reason to dislike their partner. Mine was just like high school crap.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Did you prepare at all, physically, before heading out to compete on The Challenge?
A. Anastasia: No, I didn't do any of that. One because I wasn't aware of what the whole thing was and two, because I didn't have a lot of time. I probably had two weeks that I was given before I left.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Your season of The Real World certainly had its share of fights and drama, but how did that compare to The Challenge?
A. Anastasia: I think that people on The Challenge will make up issues where there's no issue. People are purposely dishonest and untrustworthy. On The Real World, there was a little bit of that but those fights were more what would happen when you put seven different people together. People were orchestrating their own ugly moves on The Challenge.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Did you feel like you could trust people or were you suspicious of everyone?
A. Anastasia: I was suspicious of almost everybody. I was even suspicious of my own partner just because she became close with a few people that I didn't feel were the best people. I did trust Theresa and I ended up hanging out in her room the whole time we were there. We're friends and we text.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I wanted to ask you about CT and Diem because you didn't seem to know the history between them. Had you not watched previous seasons of The Challenge?
A. Anastasia: Yeah, I did not watch them on television. A week after finding out I was going on the show, I told my friend I had to watch some episodes because I didn't know what I was getting myself into. What I played was the first two episodes of Battle of the Seasons. If I'm recalling right, he wasn't on there and neither was Diem.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You had a tough time in the elimination challenge and almost passed out. TJ said it was because you smoked cigarettes and didn't eat. What was your reaction to seeing and hearing that?
A. Anastasia: TJ's comment was really gross to me.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Having survived a Challenge, would you do another?
A. Anastasia: I would do it again. I just wouldn't deal with all that crap!
