Not only are Bill and Giuliana Rancic new parents - they're super busy new parents! Subscribing to the age old "it takes a village" advice, they began looking for Duke's "entourage", as they adorably put it. To complete said entourage, they needed an L.A pediatrician and a nanny to help out. "We are new parents and we're still trying to figure things out" Giuliana said.  

The search for a nanny was first on their list since they were preparing to leave the baby for the first time, at the same time. Bill was headed to Haiti to help build houses and Giuliana had to cover the glamorous SAG awards.  Since they had to hurry up and review the candidates for their posse, they relied on recommendations from their friends.  First up was Kemberly, a potential nanny who came highly recommended.  She did very well on the interview, although I think they made it a little easy on her. I mean, you have to be an idiot with one brain cell to admit you would spank someone else's child. They decided to give her a trial run so everyone would be comfortable by the time she was really needed. 

Although she was totally sweet in her interview, Kem faced a challenge the very first time she was left alone with baby Duke. Due to his teething, Duke was running a low grade fever that sent Giuliana home from work in a tizzy. Luckily, little Duke was fine, but it made the challenges of balancing her career and motherhood more of a reality for her. Not that anyone is complaining about her job - I mean seriously, who gets serenaded by Hugh Jackman on the red carpet? 

While Giuliana was busy interviewing pediatrician number two and working the awards, Bill was constructing houses in Haiti to help those displaced by the recent earthquake. When he arrived back on U.S soil, he got to see and weigh in on how Kem interacted with baby Duke and help choose a pediatrician. The doctor was the easy part. Although they interviewed three - two traditional and one homeopathic, they decided to go with their gut and hire  the first doctor they interviewed, Lisa Hauselman.  However, in order to hire Kem full time, she had to get baby Duke's clapping approval. Well, little man put his hands together - so the Rancics have hired a nanny!
