The Voice Season 4 Live Final Performances Michelle

by Jessica Blackwell

I'm glad we're so close to finding The Voice, but it feels weird that this is the last time the artists will be performing on stage as Voice contestants. Tonight the finalists have one last chance to win America over. Remaining in the competition are Michelle, The Swon Brothers, and Danielle. As for the coaches, we have the veteran, Blake who brags that he's had an artist in the finale every season, and Usher, the newcomer. Shakira and Adam have the luxury of sitting on their behinds and enjoying the show, since the pressure is off for them.

Tonight, the coaches got to select what they believe is their defining performance for their artist/s to perform again. After the singers got the chance to make the best even better, they did their finale performance - the last on The Voice stage - as a contestant anyway.

Dropping a quote for the ages, Usher reminded us all that we're humans being, not just humans doing (I promise you, he said that) and just simply wished for Michelle to be her best. Blake took what seemed like a little job at Usher when he said that he wouldn't remind the contestants to do their best, because obviously it comes naturally to all three of them.

The Swon Brothers are the strongest duo in Voice history, and the first to make it to the finals. They may have their Dad to thank for their success, because every time they got in trouble as children, they had to stay in their room until they wrote a song together!  With a history like that, you can imagine why they've been so strong from the beginning. Blake felt their most pivotal moment was when they performed "Danni's Song" so they impressed us with the beautiful classic yet again.

Usher decided to have Michelle to perform "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift again - and dare  I say, she did even better than the first time! The crowd couldn't get enough of her. For her finale performance, she sang "Why" by Annie Lennox. She was performing for her life and she knew it. Remembering the time when Usher made her sing to herself in the mirror, she started out doing the same thing, and used an awesome effect where her image didn't leave the mirror even when she did. It freaked Blake out a little bit, but it was so cool! She sang her heart out, but still managed to deliver a calming, laid back rendition of the song.  In Usher's words, her performance knocked it out of the park! Hey, any indie artist that can stand up and sing a country song with two country artists, hold her own and then perform just as well with an R&B artist deserves to win this competition!

Danielle's mother revealed that when Danielle used to watch The Voice, she would to tell her that she would pick Blake for her coach if she ever had the chance. Well she certainly did get the chance, and tonight, she even got to perform with him. They performed "Timber, I'm Falling in Love". Blake may be getting ahead of himself when he said that Danielle is one of the most powerful vocalists on the plant (umm love her, but she doesn't compare to Christina) but he does have a star on is hands. Blake has been raving about Danielle's amazing performance of "Maybe it Was Memphis" ever since she got up on that stage, so he took tonight as an opportunity to hear it once again. For her final performance as a contestant, she sang "Born to Fly" by Sara Evans and left us remembering why she's probably going to win this whole damn thing at 16 years old.

The best part of of the night were the amazing extra performances.  The finalists performed "Home" and the top 15 contestants joined them on stage and it was amazing to see all their face again. Usher and Michelle gave an AWESOME rendition of "One Love" that I would love to have on my iPod.

Tomorrow night - we find out who The Voice is so stay tuned!!!
