Sasha Allen of The Voice Season 4

by Gina Scarpa

Last week on The Voice, Team Shakira lost its last member, Sasha Allen. Originally a member of Team Adam, she was quickly snatched up by Shakira during the battle rounds and made it all the way to final five. As Danielle Bradbery, Michelle Chamuel, and The Swon Brothers prepare to duke it out for the title, we caught up with Sasha to find out more about her experience on The Voice and what she's planning to do next.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Was it your idea to try out for The Voice or did someone suggest it to you?
A. Sasha: It was suggested, but I'm so happy I decided to do it. Me and my fiance were talking about it and he was like, "Are you going to let this opportunity pass you by?" I decided I needed to go for it.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You had all four coaches vying for you during the blind audition round. How did that feel?
A. Sasha: It felt super cool. It was also reassuring that I made the right decision to do the show. Picking a coach was way harder than I expected - way, way harder. I felt like Adam had the best spiel.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You started on Team Adam and ended on Team Shakira. What was the biggest difference between the two coaches?
A. Sasha: Shakira is focused and ready to attack. She's such a go getter. I think that it was the best thing.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Some of the news sites and blogs said you seemed too trained or theatrical, drawing comparisons to Judith Hill or last season's Amanda Brown. Why is trained or theatrical a bad thing?
A. Sasha: I don't really know. I guess maybe because of the reality show feel. I enjoy being theatrical!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What are you hoping to do next, now that your run on The Voice is over?
A. Sasha: I just want to continue to be a household name, do music, work hard, and do what I love. That's the best gift, doing what you love.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You had a great fan base this season. What do you want to say to the people who supported you?
A. Sasha: I definitely want to thank my fans so much. I have some die hards! My Twitter feed goes off and it's amazing, sweet, and powerful.
