The Voice Season 4: Blind Auditions Part 2 Recap

by Jessica Blackwell

It's round two of the Blind Auditions, and in order to compete with Judith Hill from last night, the contestants will have to have some serious wow power. The coaches got more comfortable with each other as time went on. Shakira has no problem stepping on the guys' toes to get what she wants - she's doing Christina proud. Usher continued his cool boy stance and dropped the Bieber card yet again. Hey, who can argue with the guy, he did discover today's pop music equivalent to Michael Jackson.

Here are the best performances of the night:

Josiah Hawley

This golden voiced young man took a huge risk when he decided to sing Maroon 5's "Sunday Morning". Blake was the first to turn his chair around, an Usher followed soon after. Sadly, Adam didn't turn around, but at least Josiah moved on to the next phase with awesome coach Usher. Side note: I wonder if Usher is going to keep that leg up all season?

Cáthia

This gorgeous and proud latin american woman took a risk when she sang in Spanish to "I will never give up". She has an extremely powerful voice and turned the chairs of every coach except Adam. Shakira played the crossover artist card well, and won the fiery artist for her team.

Sarah Simmons

This 22 year old student took a break from college to audition for The Voice and wow the coaches with her version of Joan Osbourne's "What if God Was One of Us". Her performance gave me chills, and so far, she is the only one who can compete with Judith from last night. Needless to say, she got a four chair turnaround. Blake even said he thought she was one of the top three contestants to ever try out for the voice. Whoa! Despite the pleadings of the other judges, Sarah chose Adam. It's only the second round, and Adam's team is already a force to be reckoned with. Hands down, the performance of the night!

Team totals: Blake didn't gain any artists tonight, so he is still rolling with three. Shakira added two to her team, giving her a total of 4. Usher added one act from this evening, bringing his total to three. Adam added a duo and amazing Sarah, bringing him to three team members.

Next week it looks like we have more latin performers coming, bringing the heat to The Voice stage! Stay tuned!

The Voice airs Mondays at 8pm, EST on NBC.
