When we last left the teams of The Amazing Race, Dave and Connor had just checked in first at the pit stop in New Zealand but were told by Phil that the leg was still going. Of all the times to have a Superleg... Dave can barely walk! Man, can he use those crutches though. Though he's in pain, he's not giving up and thus, the father/son team soldier on. On their heels are Jessica and Joh, Bates and Anthony, and Pam and Winnie while Chuck and Wynona bring up the caboose.

Teams fly over 4,000 miles to Bali, Indonesia and head to Monkey Forest and several teams arrive at once. Once teams get a monkey to open up a coconut, they get their next clue, a Detour. The choices are Sandy Bottom and Fruity Top. In Sandy Bottom, teams collect sand from the bottom of a river and transport it uphill 200 yards to the brick maker. In Fruity Top, teams must prepare an elaborate religious offering and carry it to a temple. Most teams opt for the fruit but that attention to detail can often cost teams precious time in the race.

After a beautiful procession with the locals through the streets, Pam and Winnie finish the fruit first (thanks in large part to Pam, who is a set designer) followed by Dave and Connor. Jessica and John make a mistake, going to the wrong house and making something completely random in someone's backyard. At least they realized it quickly, and we got a good laugh out of it.

Next up, teams are headed to Uluwatu Surf Beach and face a Road Block. One team member has to find a specific surfboard with an image on it, meet up with their partner, and take it to the pit stop. The problem is, they don't even know what they're looking for! (The answer is: the priest that gave them the blessing at the Bora Bora pit stop.) Winnie figures it out right away, and Connor sneaks a look at hers in order to find his. Several racers struggle to figure out which surfboard they need while others just get lost along the way to get to Phil.

Teams finish in the following order:

1. Dave and Connor (win $5000 each)
2. Pam and Winnie
3. Max and Katie
4. Caroline and Jen
5. Joey and Meghan
6. Mona and Beth
7. Bates and Anthony
8. Chuck and Wynona
9. Jessica and John

Despite Jessica's pleas to use the Express Pass at the Detour, John wouldn't listen and it cost them the race.  That's gonna take her a while to get over...
