Sheldon, Brooke, and Josh of Top Chef Seattle

We're getting closer to finding out who will be rejoining the competition on Top Chef: Seattle because after tonight, we'll know who the winner of Last Chance Kitchen is. Man, those final cheftestants are gonna hate that! We're down to three (Josh, Sheldon, and Brooke), who head to their Quickfire via helicopter. Brooke starts freaking out, which is totally understandable. I wouldn't want to do it either but if you've come this far, you gotta see it through!

High atop the mountains of Alaska, they travel by dogsled to meet Padma and Tom. A campsite is nearby and they must find whatever they can to cook wish and create a dish in 30 minutes. While Sheldon and Brooke choose halibut, Josh goes with breakfast, clearly his favorite meal of the day. Brooke takes the win, so it paid off to get on that helicopter, didn't it?

Padma crams the cheftestants into the backseat of her car and drives them to a restaurant to meet Emeril and guest judge Roy Choi (co-founder of Kogi and A-Frame). Roy started the gourmet food truck revolution, and he and Brooke have known each other for years. That doesn't mean he'll be going easy on her, though. Roy serves a dish and shares a touching story about cleaning up his act as a younger man to become the renowned chef that he is today. That sets us up for the Elimination Challenge - serve a dish that represents the minute they knew they wanted to be a chef. They'll also be serving the governor and his wife in their home.

Before they get started, Josh's wife calls him to let him know she's gone into labor. I can't imagine how tough it must be for both of them, to be away from each other, but she does end up delivering a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Welcome to the world, baby Georgia!

Sheldon serves first and remembers seeing Hawaiian chef Sam Choy cook, so he models his dish after what he learned when he was younger. Wolfgang likes his spot prawns, but Roy found it a little too salty for his liking. Brooke is up next and went with the flavors from home that she grew up with. Her braised chicken earns praise from Roy, who likes the complexity. Wolfgang says that if that's how her mother cooked, he'll want to go to her house. Josh finishes things up, and pinpoints a moment reading Food and Wine magazine and learning about fois gras. He prepares it three different ways, and not all went over well. Tom points out that he's pushing a little too hard here and probably should've reigned it in.

Brooke continues her winning streak, taking the Elimination Challenge as well. Not only that, the judges were unanimous in their decision. That's gotta give her some confidence, heading into the finale. In the end, salty broth is more forgivable than overcompensating, and Josh ends up being eliminated.
