The Bachelor Season 17: Episode 3 - Sean's Not Having Any Drama

Sean and the ladies of The Bachelor 17

Whereas other Bachelors in the past may have been sucked into drama by the women in the house (Jake, Brad, and Ben come to mind), Sean started to show last night that he most certainly is not. While Tierra and Amanda still hold roses, it was the end of the road for Kacie B, who decided to put herself in the middle of a fairly non-existant feud between two of the ladies. And not only did Kacie leave, but she headed out in quite an embarrassing fashion after her plan backfired.

During a group date, Kacie noticed that Desiree and Amanda weren't exactly getting along. Amanda has no interest in talking to anyone except for Sean. One minute, she's pouting on a couch between two or three other women, and the next she's lighting up the room with a thousand watt smile as she discusses marriage with Sean. Desiree claimed to be comfortable with where her relationship currently stands but clearly, Amanda brings out a little bit of insecurity in her. This somehow prompts Kacie to throw them both under the bus to Sean, saying that she feels caught in the middle (of absolutely nothing).

As soon as she tried to explain the negativity in the house, Sean stopped Kacie and asked what we were all thinking, "Why are YOU telling me this?" Did she have a good answer? No, she did not. She wasn't about to come right out and say, "I'm trying to push you away from these other women in any way I can so that you'll pick me!" It didn't matter whether she did or not, Sean saw right through it anyway. Though she tried to explain herself a little bit better at the cocktail party, the damage was already done.

Before the rose ceremony, he took a rose and asked to speak to Kacie privately. Part of me thought he would tell her not to beat herself up for making the mistake of causing drama, then offer her the rose. Instead, he told her he had too much respect for her to keep her there any longer and sent her on her way. If that's not an embarrassing exit, I don't know what is. A dramatic exit for a dramatic girl and it's too bad she was more interested in that than Sean. Now, if only he can ditch Tierra and Amanda in similar fashion...

Oh, and did you see this deleted scene from this week's episode?  Who would you rather be friends with - Amanda or Desiree?
