Jaymes and James of The Amazing Race 21

On this leg of The Amazing Race, teams leave Amsterdam behind and fly to Barcelona, Spain. With only four teams left in the competition, everyone's competitive sides are starting to kick in but something tells me this is a non-elimination leg. The twins, Chippendales, and Team Texas all get going first, with Josh and Brent bringing up the rear. With 12 hours to kill before boarding a boat to Mallorca, the three teams in the front head out for a day at the beach, giving the goat farmers time to catch up. It's an even playing field!

First, teams have to run through a devil festival, which is as scary as it sounds, and try to grab a clue from one of the people in costume. (I'm still shaking off the nightmare I had about those people. They were a little TOO into it.) From there, it's off to Centro de Alto Rendimiento for a Road Block and teams must drive themselves there. Is it me or do teams hardly drive themselves anywhere anymore? Clearly, that's proving to be an issue for Nadiya, who thought she could drive stick after just one lesson. She can't.

For the Road Block, one player must return 20 tennis balls being served to them by a tennis pro before time runs out. It's an appropriate task, since we're in the hometown of tennis great Rafael Nadal. You would think Trey's been playing his whole life the way he's able to finish so quickly, James has to start over but gets it on his second try, Josh looks like he's going to have a full blown anxiety attack, and Nadiya struggles a bit as well. The farmers are able to take off just a few minutes before the twins, but it's not enough of a lead that anyone should feel comfortable (or worried for that matter) just yet.

At the Coves of Campanet, teams follow the music to find a pair of guitarists and their next clue, the Detour. Their choices are Spin It, which involves repairing a 400 year old windmill, and Bull It, where teams must dress as a bull and run around a series of bullfighters in an arena. The Chippendales head to the bullfighting but see the windmills on their way, and opt for that instead. It's a good thing they did because their years of construction... okay, dressing as a construction worker in Vegas... came in handy and they were able to finish first.

During a bullfighting run, Lexi cuts her finger but, by her reaction, you would think she broke it in three different places. She recovers fairly quickly and they're able to finish second. Josh and Brent, being farmers, choose to do the windmills and raced the twins to finish the task first. While the twins fight and call each other names, Josh and Brent are able to finish before them and take off for the pit stop.

Teams arrive at Castell de Bellver (translation - "castle with the lovely view") in the following order:

1. Trey and Lexi (trip to Riviera Maya)

2. Jaymes and James

3. Josh and Brent

4. Natalie and Nadiya

Lucky for Natalie and Nadiya, this is a non-elimination leg. Of course it is! There's just one more leg before the final three will race for the million. Who are you rooting for?

The Amazing Race airs Sundays at 8/7c on CBS.
