JD and Devyn of MTV's The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons

Since last week's implosion of the San Diego team on The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons, Zach and Frank haven't spoken. Zach's now on a mission to make Frank's life hell in the house, but I highly doubt he'll care that much. And even if he does, he'll still find a way to be the center of attention and one up him. This team really needs to get it together though if they have plans to make it through the finals.

This week's challenge is the Hunger Games, but nobody will be running through the woods narrowly avoiding death. No, instead, they're transported to the set of a 1970s style game show, with TJ dressed sharply in a leisure suit. Teams will have to bet how much of a food item they can eat in a given time. If they puke or don't eat the correct amount, they're headed straight to the losers round. In Round 1, Cancun bets that they can eat 51 pieces of baklava in 4 minutes, but fall short with only 49. Probably from Jasmine convulsing and trying not to throw up. In Round 2, Brooklyn says they can down 35 grape leaves (yum!) in 4 minutes and smashes that by eating 47.

As an added bonus, Brooklyn gets to choose who should face off against Cancun in the losers round and the easy decision is dysfunctional San Diego. In Round 3, St. Thomas steps up and says they can eat 18 chilis and Marie pops them like Skittles while Rob turns an even brighter shade of red than we're accustomed to. They're advance to the finals, and Vegas ends up safe because they constantly put up numbers that wouldn't force them to eat their words.

In the winners round, the teams are given cow liver and have to eat as many as possible in 2 minutes. Marie ends up puking, so Brooklyn wins for the second week in a row! Things get worse in the losers round, as those teams have to eat cow intestines and testicles. After covering my eyes and ears to avoid the sounds of dry heaving and actual puke, I look back long enough to see that Cancun wins, which puts San Diego into elimination.

It almost seemed pointless that either team tried in that last round because whoever didn't win was still going to go in. At the elimination ceremony, Devyn (who's rocking an amazing afro, I might add) stands up and announces that Cancun will be going in against San Diego in a physical challenge. CJ wants Jonna to go in with him but she's been dealing with a lot of financial issues back home so she doesn't want to risk it. Jasmine ends up stepping up for her onetime rival and agrees to go into the elimination round with CJ up against Sam and Zach for San Diego.

Hall Brawl seems like it was made for San Diego. Sam may be little but she's tough and Zach's physicality speaks for itself. In the first round, Sam easily gets past Jasmine both times but when it's time for the guys to go, it's not exactly a cakewalk. Who knew CJ was an MMA fighter? Not me, but I did know about his football background. He's quick, he gets low, and he gets past Zach both times. In the tie breaker roun, CJ wins the first one and Zach is in a do or die situation so he decides to do! He leaps over CJ in the second round, ringing his best first and in the third round to decide who stays and who goes home, he literally drags him back to his bell. That has to go down as one of the best eliminations in Challenge history though I'm still partial to CT picking up Johnny Bananas and dragging him across the arena during Cutthroat.
