The Real Housewives Of New York Season 5

by Jessica Blackwell

The second installation of the New York invasion of St. Bart's was all about drama, drama, drama!

Ramona tried in vain to get the sexy Johnny Depp look-alike to admit that he spent the night with LuAnne at the house the night before despite her never ending claims that she came home with a group of people. That Tomaś is brighter than he looks, because he wasn't budging despite the mountain of pressure that Ramona was pressing on him. He finally escaped unscathed, dubbing Ramona the "crazy one". Oh Tomaś you have no idea!

In Sonja's words, Tomaś is so hot that he can get away with wearing makeup and he's straight. Apparently he was too hot for Sonja to resist because she decided that she had to have him, despite knowing he was with her "friend" the night before. She, like her friend LuAnne has trouble with being discreet because Heather walked in on Sonja and Tomaś committing a sex act that was illegal in some states. I won't say what Carole mouthed that it was during her confessional, you'll have to watch it for yourself. It's that gross. I don't want to be responsible for the visual that will follow if I post it here.

Aviva braved the infamous flight on the small plane to get to her friends. She had Reed, her security blanket to comfort her during the ride. She also enlisted the help of Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, and Seal via her iTunes playlist to help calm her. All of her comfort measures worked, because she made it to the island in one piece.

Ramona and Sonja were so worried about Aviva's arrival messing up the mojo of the trip that they visited a property office to arrange for a house rental should they have to leave the other house in a hurry. That sounds to me like they planned to stir up drama on purpose and wanted an easy escape route. Sure enough, despite knowing that Aviva would soon be arriving with her husband, the duo decided to go for a swim, naked.

Aviva knew exactly what they were up to, and when they showed signs of being less than pleased that she was accompanied by Reed even though he was the only reason why she was able to make it, she flipped. She took shots at them, pointing out that while she may need her husband, she doesn't need a constant stream of Pinot Grigio like they do and calling them white trash. I agreed with her until she explained to Carole that she expected everyone to roll out the red carpet for her husband, and then I thought she was getting a little bit extra. Then she had the nerve to give Carole an ultimatum, either the duo or her and Reed. Luckily, Heather convinced her to stay.

Aviva's ugly side finally reared its ugly head. When she was speaking to Sonja alone, and Sonja insinuated that Aviva didn't understand what Ramona was saying, Aviva responded snottily "I went to law school, I went to Vassar, I speak several languages, I hear and I understand everything" Really Aviva? Because you didn't understand until 5 minutes ago that Ramona was not your friend. They made up temporarily, and Queen Aviva made them march to Reed and apologize for their actions. Sonja however, did not appreciate being called white trash and didn't want to let it go so it's sure to surface again.

Poor Carole had to endure the crazy when she so clearly just wanted to sneak out and go to Russ's rehearsal. Carole is so calm and collected that I'm worried she won't last long. If she doesn't crank out so drama this season, they very well may replace her with someone who is willing to get crazy.

Although Carole may be lacking in contribution to the drama, the other ladies are certainly making up for it! Stay tuned for more drama in St. Bart's!
