Bachelor Pad Season 3

by Gina Scarpa

Rachel and Michael have been "dating" for about five minutes on Bachelor Pad but after his unexpected and dramatic exit last week, she's acting like her husband of fifty years just passed away. To make matters worse, she's stuck with a new partner, Nick, and he's not part of her alliance. We're two weeks out from the final challenge, and her shot at $250K, and she's ready to walk away because Michael went home. Suck it up!

I've been waiting all season for this spelling bee challenge that reduces contestants to tears. I'd cry too if I were them. Judged by three of the best (child) spellers in the state of California, we find out that none of these mansion dwellers can spell. Granted, in pairs, they have to take turns alternating letters when spelling but can you really not spell "engagement ring" or "jewelry"? Embarrassing. It gets down to Jaclyn and Ed versus Chris and Sarah for the win (cue the tears from Blakeley) and they go about 172 rounds where nobody can spell a word right. Finally, Chris and Sarah spell "serendipity" and win overnight date and of course, safety from elimination.

Chris and Sarah's date was fairly uneventful. They went swimming, they had dinner, Chris said he was over Emily, they spend the night together. Jaclyn and Ed, as the runners up, get a romantic date as well... except it was anything but romantic. The two share a picnic and Ed reveals that he was seeing someone back at home. He assumed she knew because he brought it up to Sarah the first night or two they were there. Funny how he failed to mention it to Jaclyn when he was sleeping with her. "I don't want to look like a whore," she bluntly says. JUST as I was about to defend Jaclyn, she calls him a douche to the cameras and is then seen kissing him on the date moments later.  Some girls never learn...

Back at the mansion, Ed and Jaclyn have one more set of roses to hand out and everyone starts campaigning like it's time to vote for 8th grade class president. Lindzi is the only one who refuses to kiss up but Kalon does all the talking. Rachel probably needs a little help, especially after proclaiming she wanted to leave earlier, but Jaclyn and Ed decide to save Blakeley and Tony. Nick is pissed because nobody is sticking to their word but I didn't even know anybody gave him their word. In fact, sometimes I forget he's even playing this game!

Kalon and Lindzi try to campaign to get Rachel and Nick out, reasoning that they're a new couple while they've been together for many weeks. It seems like they could've swayed some of the voters but in the end, they're the ones leaving in separate limos. No wait, they're leaving in the same limo! He just couldn't bear to be without her. Okay seriously, they are pretty cute. I feel like they're our only shot at a real relationships this season on Bachelor Pad.

Bachelor Pad airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
