Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 7
By Jessica Blackwell

This week America's favorite family reminded me of another famous group of kin - the Munsters! The episode, appropriately titled "Tales from the Kardashian Krypt", focused around entirely around death - yuck!

Their recent visit to see Kris's ailing mother apparently freaked Kris out. In an effort to control the little she could about the end of her life, Kris thought it would be a good idea to plan her funeral services down to the burial plot. She literally tried out coffins - freaky! If that wasn't weird enough, then she dragged her children into it, trying to "gift" them with burial plots so they could all be together. Needless to say they weren't into it. They already buried one parent and certainly didn't want to think about burying another. Kris's mother commented that the family should be buried in a Hollywood cemetery along with Marilyn Monroe which I thought was hilarious. I mean after all, she does want a designer coffin.

Kim and Khloé thought it would be a good idea to get little Mason a couple fish - one from each of them. The problem is, they didn't ask permission from Kourtney and Scott who are not pet people. Another problem is that the fish kept dying and rather than teach Mason about death at such an early age, Kourtney just kept replacing the fish. Grandpa Bruce stepped in to try and teach Kourtney a lesson on explaining death to toddlers, but rather than take heed from the lesson, Kourtney decided the scaly pets were simply too much trouble and got rid of them.

Since Kris was so into the theme of death, she became curious about who would care for her grandson in the event that some horrible happens to his parents. She made the mistake of calling Kourtney on speaker with Kim in the room. Kim wasn't very pleased to find out that Kourtney chose Khloé over her as Mason's guardian, especially since they never talked about it, but it seemed to be all arranged. Needless to say, Kim was very hurt but Kourtney had good reasons for making the choice that she did. When Kim began lashing out at Khloé , she had to explain herself and basically had to call Kim self centered to her face, but managed to give Kim a job that would suit her - handling her finances in the event of her untimely death.

After Kris sent sample flowers for her funeral arrangements to Khloé's house, Rob knew he had to take his mother's mind off of death. He arranged for an outing at a lovely vineyard to try and get her to celebrate life while she still has it. That seemed to do the trick, and if that didn't, the tattoo of her face that he revealed certainly did.

Despite all the talk of demise, all the Kardashians are thankfully alive and kicking so they can continue to entertain us. Next week they get a visit from Queen Oprah herself!
