Big Brother 14

When we last left the Big Brother houseguests, they were slipping and sliding across the backyard, trying to become the next HOH. Britney, Dan, Joe, and Dan all opt to go for safety, especially since along with not being nominated or backdoored, they'll be able to compete in next week's HOH competition. Meanwhile, Mike Boogie is doing what Mike Boogie always does - he looks out for himself and he banks him another $10K. You don't at least go for safety!? Britney gets safety, which prompts Dan to kick it into overdrive and try to catch Ian, Danielle, and Shane for power this week.

Ian falls out of it, literally, fairly quickly. Dan is pretty impressive, running back and forth, and finds himself within reaching distance of Danielle and Shane. In the end, it's Shane who picks up his second HOH win. Britney's safety ends up being pointless but hey, better her than Joe! A meeting of the Quack Pack takes place soon after, where Britney announces that Ian told her Boogie and Frank are coming after her and Shane. If there was any question about where Ian's loyalty was, he solidified it when he backed the idea of nominating the Chilltown 2.0 members together this week. Someone in the Silent Six is going to have to make the first move and Shane needs to do it now, especially while he definitely has the votes to get it done.

Meanwhile, Jenn is having a tough time, feeling alone in the game and homesick. Perhaps she wouldn't feel alone in the game if she actually played the game. I'd feel lonely too if I watched a football team out on the field while I was the lone fan in the stands cheering them on. Get in the game, Jenn!! Ian asks Ashley out on another date and allows Britney to Nair his armpits, which apparently, upped his hotness(?) a few notches. All Ian has been doing is complaining about Ashley and Frank and when he finally gets another shot with her, he talks about his digestion issues and contributes to lots of awkward silences. I think this flirtmance is over.

A trail of colored balls in the house led to the arcade room where a box with a question mark on it sat in a machine full of colored balls. Of course, everyone started freaking out and theorizing what it could meant, with Ian having the best prediction that Pandora's Box is going to return. Shane thought the colored balls meant something and that the question mark could somehow alter his plan this week, which gave him second thoughts about his nomination choices. However, in the end, he stuck with the plan, made a weird speech about how prizes and twists and clues faded his decision making, and put Frank and Boogie on the block.

You gotta feel bad for Frank, who has spent a majority of his time in the Big Brother house on the block. Boogie, on the other hand, smiles like an evil (but lovable) goblin and seems fired up in the diary room to win POV. You know what you should've been fired up about winning? HOH!
