Big Brother 14: Week 4 Eviction Recap

Big Brother 14

Boogie's pitch to Danielle to get Janelle out of the Big Brother house by backdooring her was enticing her with the opportunity to make a big move and get out one of the most dangerous players. You know who else is a really dangerous player? Boogie! I've never seen someone so skilled in the art of manipulation - well, except his sensei Dr. Will of course.

Right after Janelle was nominated for eviction, she heads up to Danielle's room to ask her what the hell that was all about. Danielle goes to her standby defense and acts confused and emotional, saying everybody convinced her she was coming after her. Even though she's told she's not the target, Janelle isn't convinced so she goes to work campaigning to Wil and Ashley, and then Britney.

Britney is incapable of making Janelle feel safe, saying she's worried, and then heads up to the HOH room to cry because she doesn't like lying. Well, ya need to if you're going to have any shot of winning this game, especially considering the other people you're playing with. Let us not forget that The Brigade lied to her for weeks and weeks, then cut her loose right before the very end. You'd think she'd be a little jaded - no, she wants to play this game honestly. While I can respect it, the same thing will probably happen to her this season.

Neither houseguest makes a very strong case to stay in their eviction speech. Frank just looks giddy in the spiritard (probably because he knows what's about to happen) and Janelle lamely says to keep her if she can help further their game. Really? All you've got is the old generic eviction ceremony statement? Everybody in the house votes to evict her, with the exception of Joe, who promises to avenge her ousting if it's the last thing he does. Again I say, the last thing he'll ACTUALLY do is walk out the door to meet Julie Chen.

Now, a lot of people didn't like Boogie's goodbye message to Janelle but I thought it was kind of funny. He lets her know that this eviction was all his idea and says she's always the bridesmaid but never the Big Brother bride. Like Julie said, their rivalry is one of the best in Big Brother history. Oh and Janelle's response? "Screw you, Mike Boogie! I hope you lose!" Love it.

For the HOH competition, players face off head to head while songs play about competitions that took place this season. Whoever buzzes in first and guesses HOH, Coach, or Veto correctly wins. The other player is eliminated and the winner picks the next two to face off. It's a great way to see who's working with who. Britney did very well and made it to the end against Frank (after Ian got knocked out late in the game, and Boogie threw away his shot to win) but Frank is the victor. No being on the block for this member of Chilltown 2.0 this week!

I'd like to close out by saying that I pray to the heavens that Frank puts Jenn on the block.  That girl needs to start playing this game.  She's starting to blend in with the furniture.

Find out who Frank nominates for eviction on Big Brother, Sunday at 8/7c on CBS.
