The Glee Project Season 2

When Robert shows up to announce that danceability is this week's challenge on The Glee Project, a few people are immediately scared off. There's no time to stress because the contestants have to divvy up the solos for their homework assignment, "We Got The Beat" by The Go-Gos. Mario, in particular, was super stubborn about which line he wanted to sing.

Before the group can perform, Taryn takes some time alone to call her family and ultimately, decides to leave the competition. It seemed the pressure and being away from the people she loves were too much for her.

Last year's co-winner Samuel Larsen ("Joseph Hart" on Glee) is the guest judge and after the group performs, Robert deems it the best homework assignment ever. There were a lot of standouts, but Abraham catches Samuel's attention the most, who says that he made him really believe it. In the mentoring session afterwards, Samuel reminds him to loosen up and have fun in the video shoot.

What better way to show off one's dancing ability than with LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem"? The concept for the video is a high school house party and everyone has to learn an eight count of dancing. Literally, you just count to eight and the dance is over. For the life of me, I can't understand how so many people struggled with learning it in the choreography session with Zach.

While waiting to record with Nikki, Charlie steps up his flirtation with Aylin and it doesn't seem like it'll be too long before these two get together. In the studio, Lily oversang and thought way too highly of herself. Someone needed to turn her headphones up so she could hear what the rest of us were listening to.

At the video shoot, one group plays spin the bottle, which doesn't sit too well with Nellie. Aylin has no problem, though, jumping on top of Blake and making out with him on camera. I should mention that her mother has no idea she's kissed a boy yet. Well, she knows now! And the kissing doesn't stop there either. Charlie was quite jealous that Blake got a kiss, so Aylin lays one on him too (off camera). Abraham, who was featured in the video, was way too stiff and required several takes to get it right and then the whole thing derails when it's time for the dance sequences. As Zach put it, they would've looked better just standing there.

Robert informs the group afterwards that they may have had the best homework assignment in the history of the show, but they also had the worst video shoot. Aylin, Shanna, Blake, and Michael were deemed the best and were called back for next week along with Allie, Charlie, Mario, Abraham, and Nellie. Dani and Tyler find themselves in the bottom three with Lily, who talks back to Zach when he tries to provide some constructive criticism. Yuck, that attitude needs to go!

In her last chance performance, Dani performs "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. She still doesn't have a ton of energy, but her voice is nice and clear, and she shows some emotion too. Ryan says that her talent is without dispute but the dilemma is: She may be an artist, but is she a performer?

Tyler sings "Daniel" by Elton John and he really has a unique sound that I like. He knows that he didn't let go enough in his performances this week. Ryan wonders why he can be so brave in his real life, but not on the show. Fair enough. He's playing it way too safe.

Last up is Lily singing Shania Twain's "Man, I Feel Like A Woman". Whether you like her or not, she's very confident and definitely not afraid to perform big. Ryan called her out for talking back and her excuse is that she just can't accept defeat. She has a history of fighting with people that are rooting for her and that's going to need to change. I'm pretty sure Ryan won't put up with her diva attitude much longer.

When the callback list is posted, it's Dani who is eliminated from the competition. I guess the question I'm left asking myself is: Do you eliminate the girl with low energy or the girl with a bad attitude? Who would you have sent home?
