This week on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gretchen pays Alexis a visit to check out clips of her hosting gig at Fox 5 - and drops a bomb! Who knew that Fox actually approached Gretchen first, and when she turned it down, THEN they went to Alexis? Oof, it's gotta sting to find out you were second choice. Gretchen recommends that Alexis get a hosting or acting coach to strengthen her skills and calm her nerves. That may seem like a good idea to Alexis, but it definitely doesn't go over well with Jim. In no way is he on board with her having a career outside of the house but I have a feeling if he continues to push the issue, she'll rebel.

Speaking of people who want to be more than just a housewife, Heather goes on an audition for the first time in forever. Even though she's worried about how getting back into acting will affect her time with her family, she's still willing to give it a shot. I have to say, after she mentioned being on the shows That's Life and Jenny, I totally looked it up on YouTube. She's actually legit! Terry questions her back at home, especially when he finds out the show she auditioned for shoots in Canada. It would probably be best if they had this conversation NOT in front of their young son but he seems oblivious to the whole thing. In the end, Terry will do whatever makes Heather happy... but what Heather actually wants still remains to be seen.

Everyone heads to Vegas together with their significant others to check out Gretchen's appearance with the Pussycat Dolls. Good thing she has a few more rehearsals before an audience comes in because she sings "Fever" off pitch and off the music. In short, it's a little bit of a hot mess. When the group meets with Gretchen beforehand, she's freaking out but a little support seems to lift her spirits.  At dinner, Brooks declares his love for Vicki to Alexis and Jim, which doesn't win over the table. Both Heather and Tamra, to different degrees, question his authenticity. Still waiting to see Vicki declare her love for Brooks... TO Brooks... on camera.

If you want to find out how Gretchen did in the Pussycat Dolls show, you'll have to tune in next week.  Based on the preview, it doesn't look like a homerun.
