Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 4

by Mike Bandy

Well, we made it to the season finale! It's been one hell of a ride with these ladies, and its all come down to this. Here we go!

The episode kicked off with NeNe and Cynthia, who were at a furniture gallery so NeNe could pick out a new bed. Cynthia noticed that NeNe was a little bit down, and demanded to know what was going on. Turns out that NeNe has made the decision to go ahead with divorcing Gregg, and it's almost like a death for her. She said that, although they've had good times, they just don't work together, and it's time to move forward. No disrespectful jokes about NeNe from me this time - divorce is terrible for anybody to go through, and I hope the woman can make peace with her decision. I think she made the right one.

Now let's get to the fun stuff - the launch of Kandi's sex toy line! She received the products in the mail and was very excited about making this line happen. There would be a big, ladies-only party to launch the line, and you just knew there'd be drama to come along with it. Stay tuned!

Cynthia and Peter were kicking off their first open call for the Bailey Agency, and Cynthia wanted a group of students for her school whom all have modeling potential. She and her panel of judges watched as many unfortunate young men and women were rejected, but there were a group of about 10 students who made the cut. One of them, Alasia, appeared on the 14th cycle of America's Next Top Model (am I the only one who watches that?! Remember her?!!), but it wasn't mentioned on this show. I remember Alasia, and I must say that her runway walk has really improved!

Speaking of casting calls, Kandi enlisted the help of Sheree and Phaedra to help her cast muscular men for her "ladies-only" launch party. Yay for objectifying dudes! There was a group of five or six men, all of whom looked like something out of a firefighter's calendar, who made the cut, and they would perform massages and feed the ladies at the party. Thankfully (or, maybe, not so thankfully), they'd all be wearing pants this time around. I guess Kandi learned her lesson with the Ridickulous fiasco...

Next, we caught up with Kim and Kroy, who were out to lunch to celebrate Kroy's 26th birthday. Now that they're engaged, I guess Kim decided that she had to step up her game when it came to gift giving, because she surprised Kroy with a black Porsche for his birthday. He was really surprised, and while they were eating, Kim told him how much she loved him and how happy she was to have everything she wanted in life now. She's certainly come a long way from the days of Big Poppa!

Seems like NeNe and Kim have switched places when it comes to men! NeNe's "business partner", John, gave her a $30,000 Rolex watch, and is obviously falling in love with her, if she's not already. He was saying things to her like she's the glue that pieced him back together, and she should open her business in New York where he lives, and all this romantic stuff. NeNe was more concerned with how shiny the watch was and how she wants to date several people at the same time.

Look, I'm sorry, but divorce or not, NeNe is USING this man! I feel kinda bad for him - and it makes me feel worse that he's probably seen the show and knows what a gold-digger NeNe is now! I hope he's moved on to greener pastures.

Then it was time for Kandi's big launch party for her sex toy line, Bedroom Kandi. The party was attended by what seemed like hundreds of women, as Kandi took to Twitter to invite all of her followers. Marlo, Cynthia and NeNe all came together and were standoffish, as usual. Kandi's mother, Mama Joyce, was surprisingly supportive and seemed to be having an awesome time. Even Kim and Sheree got in on the action, and were really impressed with Kandi's new business venture, as was Phaedra.

NeNe, however, acted like a prude the entire time and said she wasn't surprised by the half naked men, since this is a KANDI party. Here's a question - if you're not into sex toys or half naked men, WHY BE THERE?! And by the way, Cynthia, pigtails are for little girls. You're in your forties now. Stop it.

But I digress. NeNe decided she had to leave "ding a ling land" and ditched Cynthia and Marlo at the party to leave early. In the meantime, viewers got a sneak peek at what the women have been up to since shooting wrapped.

Kim and Kroy, as we all know by now, got married on 11/11/11, and still haven't had time for a honeymoon. Although, considering she's now pregnant again, they've probably made time for one by now. Kandi is taking on rock music next, and bought a new house with the money she's making hand over fist (pardon the pun) with her sex toy line.

Phaedra and Apollo are shooting a fitness video, and she's designing a makeup line for morticians. Sheree's house still isn't done (is anybody surprised?). Cynthia and Malorie are speaking again, but not about Peter, and the Bailey Agency is doing really well, with classes completely full.

And NeNe? She's officially divorced from Gregg, but they're still friends...with benefits. Oy.

The three part reunion special, based on the preview, is going to be a mess of fighting, screaming, and upset ladies, and it seems like nobody is exempt from it. I'll be here to recap it all! Can't wait!
