Lindzi Cox from The Bachelor 16

On last night's season finale of The Bachelor, Ben told Lindzi that he loved but unfortunately, he loved someone else more and saw a future with that other woman. After saying goodbye to Lindzi in Switzerland, Ben got down on one knee and proposed to Courtney, who happily said yes. Today, Lindzi talked to RealityWanted and reporters in a press conference call and looked back at her relationship with Ben and her Bachelor experience.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was the biggest surprise to you when you watched back the episodes this season?
A. Lindzi: The biggest surprise to me... a lot of what I saw, I was seeing for the first time. I would say that I was genuinely shocked to hear what Courtney said.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Now that you have seen everything, do you feel like it's a good thing that Ben didn't pick you or did you still hope he'll call you if things don't work out with Courtney?
A. Lindzi: I think that I'm in a really good place now and you know, Ben made his decision and I complete respect that.

Q. When you were talking to Ben's sister and mother, you took the high road when they were asking about Courtney. Do you wish you said more?
A. Lindzi: I think in talking to Ben's mom and sister, I said how I felt about Courtney. When I was in the house with her, I didn't really have anything that negative to say about her. I kind of stated the obvious, that we are two very different people. I don't regret that and if I said more, I would've been making things up.

Q. There seems to be a pattern of a bad girl and a sweet girl that make it to the end, and the guy always picks the bad girl. Do you agree and do you think a relationship like Ben and Courtney's can work?
A. Lindzi: I don't think Courtney is necessarily a bad girl and I don't think that... it's up to them if their relationship works and I wish them nothing but the best.

Q. During your final words, you said that if Ben wants to marry Courtney, you'd be shocked and he'd look like a total fool. Now that you've seen the way his relationship has played out, do you still stand by that? Do you think they'll last?
A. Lindzi: I don't still mean what I said. Watching the show, I got to see how their relationship was. Ultimately, it's not my place to say if they'll last or not or if he made a good decision. He has to do what's best for him.

Q. Chris Harrison said you were at the taping of the After The Final Rose special that you were there but you weren't brought out based on how things were going with Ben and Courtney. How do you feel about that?
A. Lindzi: It didn't upset me. I think that Ben and Courtney came out and it was a really emotional time for them. I think Ben has bigger issues to deal with, like his engagement, and clearly, they were in a fragile, emotional state. I was in a good place, I had closure, I didn't have any pressing issues and I think it was better for him and me to move on with it.

Q. You said that you got your closure. Do you feel like you got it that day when he said goodbye or do you think you got it as you watched the show?
A. Lindzi: I think I did get the closure that final day in Switzerland. He was very honest with me and told me that he had strong feelings for me but ultimately, he loved someone more. I respect that because I don't think anyone wants to be with someone who doesn't know if they want to be with them.

Q. Some of the other girls came off as, for lack of a better term, glad that they didn't make it to the end. Do you have that change of heart about him?
A. Lindzi: I think that hindsight is a beautiful thing. I really am happy with how things ended for me. In the moment, I felt that way about Ben and I think that he did come off pretty well in the situation he was in. I don't feel like I dodged a bullet but I do feel like things work out the way they were supposed to work out.

Q. How do you feel about your experience on The Bachelor?
A. Lindzi: I'm really happy, start to end, with this whole experience. I learned a lot and I'm really happy and content with the way that it ended.

Q. If Ben came back to you, would you give him another chance?
A. Lindzi: You know, I don't know. I don't know. I'd cross that bridge when I got there! I feel like if he didn't know for sure about me then, he wouldn't change his mind now.

Q. Even though we you didn't appear on camera, did you talk to Ben or Courtney at the taping of the After The Final Rose special?
A. Lindzi: I actually have not spoken to Ben or Courtney since that last day Switzerland. If I could speak to them, I would want them to know that I'm happy for them.

Q. Would you consider being The Bachelorette?
A. Lindzi: I think obviously, it's not something I've been talked to but given the opportunity, I'd strongly consider it!
