Lisa from America's Next Top Model Cycle 17

On the controversial finale of America's Next Top Model All-Stars, Lisa ousted Allison in the final two and became the winner! Her over-the-top personality and daring nature made her the judges favorite in the competition, and all of her hard work in photo shoots, motion editorials, and challenges paid off! We caught up with the VERY busy Lisa to talk about her time in the competition, what it's like to juggle fame and her engagement, and what we can expect from her next!

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: You're the All-Star! Congratulations! I know that it was mentioned on the show quite a bit that you had a really rough upbringing, that you've been through recovery, and now you're on top of your game! How does it feel to have come so far?
A. Lisa: The only way I can describe the way I feel is - it really feels like a very peaceful validation that is far and beyond redemption for me.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: Speaking about your recovery - viewers saw on the show that there were a few opportunities where drinking was going on, and you did not participate, which was great! Having been through recovery, was it really difficult to be in situations where alcohol was present?
A. Lisa: No, and the truth is, I went on Celeb rehab for self betterment, so if you mean therapy, then yes. I was never detoxing from anything. I got a very higher education on drugs and alcohol by witnessing what they went through on there. I'm so lucky to be one of the lucky ones, because [the other celebs on the show's] stories were captivating and unreal, and I could have gone down a darker path.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: Viewers saw your fiancée on the show, and you guys seem like such a happy couple! What is it like to juggle the engagement with the fame? How does your fiancée feel about you being in the spotlight?
A. Lisa: That's a really good question, I haven't gotten that one yet! My fiancée and I are such polar opposites, and he's my biggest fan and supporter! He's actually shocked that it's taken so long for people to acknowledge my talent. He couldn't be more proud.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: After your appearance on Cycle 5, there were a few interviews you were featured and TV specials about ANTM that you were involved in, where you expressed perhaps not so good views you had about the show and about the time you spent on it. What made you come back for All-Stars this time around?
A. Lisa: You know, life is full of ups and downs, and this show and people are no different. I went on All Stars because I feel like I took Cycle 5 not as seriously, and I got the rap for that all these years. Being on the branding season couldn't have been more of a preparation meets opportunity situation for me. I've been working my butt off for my whole life, and 2012 was already going to be a huge year for me, so winning All Stars was just the icing on the cake.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: I know you probably can't discuss what happened with Angelea (though everyone is dying to know), but I actually have a different question - Throughout the cycle, you made some comments that Angelea wasn't strong enough to handle the competition and that she wasn't really ready for all of it. Have you spoken since the show, and do you have a good relationship with her afterwards?
A. Lisa: I love Angelea, I know that she has a really beautiful heart and always tries to come from a good place. When I say that she's not strong enough - this town is not peaches and cream. Hollywood and the entertainment industry is the hardest and one of the most cruelest industries to get into. She's incredibly fragile and you can't be like that. Something that I've earned that you can't buy is thick skin.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: Your branding word this cycle was "daring". Tell us what the word means to you, and how you live up to your brand every day.
A. Lisa: I have actually been building my brand for years in this town, I actually thought it was fearless! It just fit in like a puzzle piece; it's in my DNA. With that being said, it's something that's been engraved in my soul and everything I've done, it wasn't something I needed to find my way with it. [Having this brand] helped me.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: Was there anything not shown on television that you wish the audience had a chance to see?
A. Lisa: In the house, we truly all were so incredibly different and dynamic, and we really enjoyed each other's company 90% of the time, and they don't show that. I wish there was an outtakes episode that showed all of that.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: We know that Bre was on this cycle with you, but if you had the chance to bring anyone else from cycle 5 back to compete with you, whom would you have brought back?
A. Lisa: It'd be Kim, Jayla (she's actually really straightforward and really funny), and Ebony.

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: What was your favorite challenge and favorite photo shoot for the entire cycle?
A. Lisa: That's definitely hard...this whole season is flying at the seat of your pants, always on your toes, like a circus, and I loved everything about that. When they did the carousel, I was like "YES!" Or doing a photo shoot on a motorcycle, I was like "YES!" I was all about it, I love adrenaline and I loved the whole season. I think that showed - I was always the one going, "Let's do it again!"

Q. Mike, RealityWanted: So, what's the next big thing for Lisa? When can we expect to see you on Extra, your Vogue spreads, etc.?
A. Lisa: 2012 is definitely a year that was going to be a huge breakout year for me, regardless of All Stars or not. It's just the icing on the cake for all the prizes that I'm gonna push to the limit. It's gonna be the unveiling of a TV show I've been working on the last 3 years; my 2nd album, Flipping the Bird; I plan on performing nationally and overseas, and look out for my "Whiplash" video in a few days. I have my IPhone app called "Earth to Lisa", and everyone can download it for free and watch exclusive footage of me in the crazy world of Hollywood. Then..I can't WAIT to have all the prizes of All Stars as well. And Dancing with the Stars, I'm coming for you!
