Ramon Medeiros from The Biggest Loser 12

Last week on The Biggest Loser, John won a 1 lb. advantage on the scale but had to give a 1 lb. disadvantage to another player. If he wanted to keep the peace in the house, the easiest thing to do would be to have given it to Vinny, who already had an advantage that week but instead, he gave it to Sunny, who ended up falling below the yellow line. Had it not been for the disadvantage, she would have been safe so it was Ramon who ended up being sent home because he had the lowest percentage of weight loss. Today, we caught up with him in an exclusive interview to talk more about how he went out, his budding relationship with Jessica, and his plans to get back in the game.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What made you decide to try out for The Biggest Loser?
A. Ramon: I tried out for The Biggest Loser because I was in need of a change. I was looking for more out of my life than what I currently had. I wanted to earn the life I always thought I should be living and, with a very big push from my mom and sister, I went to the open casting call.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: When did things between you and Jessica start to spark?
A. Ramon: Things started to spark between Jess and I early in week 3 but we instantly became friends on the ranch.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You had the opportunity to work with all three trainers on the ranch this season. Which trainer do you feel you connected with and helped you the most?
A. Ramon: I trained mostly with Dolvett and Anna, but I connected most with Dolvett. He helped me, from day one, find the man I was meant to be and put me on a path to rip apart the old me and change totally - mind, body and soul. He is also not only a great trainer, he's a best friend.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Last week, John made a controversial decision to give Sunny a 1 lb. disadvantage on the scale. What was your opinion of it?
A. Ramon: Pretty much John's decision showed how much he wanted to win and that he would do whatever it took to make it to the finals.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You seemed to leave the ranch with a very positive attitude. That being said, was it tough to leave?
A. Ramon: Definitely hard to leave the ranch but I left with my head held high because I can be proud of everything I did on the ranch, and that I was so blessed just to have the opportunity. And you know I'm gonna come back on fire for the marathon!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: If you look back at the first day on the ranch to this moment right now, what's the biggest thing that's changed about you?
A. Ramon: The biggest thing that changed about me is that every time I smile now, it is totaly genuine because I am truly happy.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: With the marathon coming up, and a spot back in the game still on the line, what are you doing to prepare?
A. Ramon: I am coming to win! I trained with Jess and her trainer, Suzy, in Pittsburgh, and I just finished training with John Esquibel, head coach of Regis University and his team in Denver.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What advice do you have for viewers who want to try out for The Biggest Loser?
A. Ramon: Try out! If you're ready to make a change and truly ready, GO! Don't be scared. Be outgoing and never stop.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Anything else you'd like to say?
A. Ramon: I'm ready to tear up that marathon. And that The Biggest Loser has changed my life forever and I can't thank them enough. Thank you Biggest Loser!
