The main question on this week's episode of The Real World: San Diego is - are Zack and Ashley ever going to hook up or what? If their roommates have anything to say about it, they'd probably have them get it on right in front of them! While Ashley may not oppose, Zack is remaining a little standoffish, which his cuddle buddy can't seem to understand.

After a night out at a bar, Ashley asks Zack why she should spend the next 3 1/2 months with him, to which he has no answer... because how can you answer a question that awkward with everyone around you? Sam runs her mouth about it in the car and then gossips with Priscilla back at the house. Ashley is left sitting in the car crying but more because Zack keeps deflecting her advances. Unable to admit that he's the source of her tears, Zack storms into the house and yells at Sam, calling her "nothing".

Soon after, Ashley recovers because she and Zack are going to throw themselves a joint birthday bash and she drops over $400 to buy a pair of ostrich cowboy boots that he's been pining away for. When she surprises him with them, he has no words... because that's a lot of money to spend! Both of them have friends flying in from their hometowns to hang out and Zack's friends can't help but notice that Ashley is pretty hot. Yep, at this point, the whole world is wondering what he's waiting for?

What he's waiting for is a time to be off camera, it seems. While on the phone with his dad, he's scolded for pictures that showed up online of him grabbing a girl (presumably Ashley) in a club. Zack's dad reminds him that she's somebody's daughter, sister, niece, cousin, etc. and he takes his words to heart. He wants to be a gentleman, a cowboy, a man his dad can be proud of.

Meanwhile, Priscilla gets a call from her high school boyfriend Dylan, who she has had an on again, off again relationship with for five years. After eight months of ignoring her, he decides that he needs to see her. Hmm, I wonder why. When he shows up, Frank has the best assessment of him saying that he knows Priscilla likes dorky guys but he didn't realize we were pulling people from the Harry Potter movies. Why she's so hung up on this guy is beyond the roommates and I'm pretty sure any of us. It's not really that he's dorky but he doesn't seem to have much to say. Perhaps he's never in front of the cameras. In any event, the two end up in bed together but it's unclear exactly what happens. He shows up in later episodes so it's possible they're on again.

Everyone heads out for the big birthday extravaganza and Frank's boyfriend Mike heads to town to join in the festivities. It really shows how much progress the birthday twins have made that they can invite Mike out to celebrate as one of their friends. Instead of showing his gratitude, Frank gets super drunk and super grabby with Ashley on the dance floor. It's a wonder Zack didn't punch him right in the face and you know he wanted to. At the house, Ashley kicks everyone out of the room after Nate, Frank, and Mike bestow her with a "sex box" full of goodies for her and Zack to enjoy but when the room is cleared out, he still doesn't give in to temptation. Damn, he's strong.

On a side note, am I the only one that thinks Frank and Mike are moving a bit too quickly?
