The Amazing Race 19

Tonight, on The Amazing Race, teams head from Bangkok, Thailand to Lilongwe, Malawi, located in southeast Africa. With only one flight heading there, it becomes an even playing field. Jeremy and Sandy grab a taxi first and head to a tobacco warehouse where they encounter a Road Block.

One team member must wear a workman's uniform and transport ten 200lb bags of tobacco across the warehouse. As if running those heavy, bulky bags isn't difficult enough, there are workers yelling, chanting, and crashing their handtrucks into them. At least they're happy workers! Jeremy finishes first, followed by Ernie and Justin.

Next up, teams head to Memorial Tower for a Detour where they choose between All Sewn Up and Not Grown Up. In All Sewn Up, they have to use a manual sewing machine to finish a jacket and pants for a suit. In Not Grown Up, they visit a local school and build two traditional toy trucks for local children. Not Grown Up seems like the easier choice, but also the one that will give teams the best experience. Surprisingly, about half the teams choose to sew.

Jeremy and Sandy continue their domination of this leg, finishing first at Lilongwe Lea School, with Justin and Jennifer right behind them. Teams head to R-K Furniture Shop where they have to carry two handcrafted bed to Kumbali Village, which is the pit stop. They do get to hitch a ride most of the way, which helps.

Justin and Jennifer get their beds to the pit stop first but did not pay their truck driver so they have to go back and settle their debt first.  Andy and Tommy get another first place win because of the mistakes of another team and this time, get a trip to a private island in the British Virgin Islands.  Teams finish in the following order: Justin and Jennifer, Jeremy and Sandy, Laurence and Zac, Ernie and Cindy, Bill and Cathi, and Amani and Marcus.  Thankfully for the married couple, it's a non elimination leg and they live to see another day!

The Amazing Race airs Sundays at 8/7c on CBS.
