This week on Dancing With the Stars, it was movie scores night for the remaining nine couples. They each performed to a different song from a movie.
Chynna and Tony were up first with a Tango to the theme of Mission Impossible. Len said she lost it and noticed she panicked. Bruno said she was hot but she lost the plot because she wanted it so badly. Carrie Ann said she lost her place but not her composure.
Score: 7+7+7=21.
David and Kym were up next dancing the Paso Doble to Raiders of the Lost Ark. Bruno loved the way he cracked his whip, but said he needs to watch his turns. Carrie Ann said he had new strength and charisma and loved every minute of the performance. Len thought it was more like the Temple of Doom with no posture.
Score: 8+7+8=23.
Carson and Anna danced the Viennese Waltz to the Curse of the Black Pearl. Carrie Ann is addicted to his performances but thought he technique was lacking. Len said it is terrible when it’s happening and a joy when it is over, but thought it was great fun and even said he would phone in and vote for him if he were at home watching. Bruno said he lost his steps quite a few times but still thought it was fun.
Score: 7+6+7=20.
Nancy and Tristan danced the Paso Doble to Flash Gordon. Len thought it lacked expression and didn’t think there was any real performance value. Bruno told her not to hide behind anything and advised her to “just go for it.” Carrie Ann gave her credit because she has solid technique, but just thinks she needs to connect more to the audience.
Score: 7+7+7=21.
Hope and Maks performed the Fox Trot to “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story. Bruno said it was “so lovely.” Carrie Ann said it made her smile the whole way through. Len thinks she needs to do more polishing in rehearsal.
Score: 8+8+8=24.
Rob and Cheryl were next to perform the Paso Doble to the theme from Superman. Carrie Ann likes the way he moves. Len liked it, plain and simple. Bruno said it was time to leave Smallville and take on the real world.
Score: 8+8+8=24.
Ricki and Derek danced the Tango to the song from the infamous shower stabbing scene in Psycho. Len said that she always delivers. Bruno thought it was an immaculate tribute to the master of suspense. Carrie Ann said it was brilliance in the ballroom.
Score: 10+9+10=29.
Chaz and Lacey danced the Paso Doble to the theme song from Rocky. Bruno said he keeps coming back and fighting. Carrie Ann started crying and said that she roots for him every time. Len said he is getting stronger and thought it was his best dance to date.
Score: 7+7+7=21.
J.R. and Karina were last to perform dancing the Fox Trot to the theme from Pink Panther. Carrie Ann thought it was okay, but said it fell a little flat. Len, on the other hand, thought it was the best performance of the night and also called it “fabulous.” Bruno said he is a dancer of great ability and versatility.
Score: 8+9+9=26.
