Bill and Cathi are so far behind at the beginning of the second leg of The Amazing Race that I have no idea how they're going to catch up. With a double elimination looming, it's tough to imagine how they won't be one of them - unless of course, the race does that thing where they catch everybody up to each other to make it more of a fair fight.

In Taipei, teams are headed to the airport to take off for Yogyakarta, Indonesia. And speaking off that thing where they catch everybody up... there are no flights tonight so teams will have to wait until the morning to continue on. At the train station in Indonesia waiting to head to Yogyakarta, Justin and Jennifer fight (once again) like children about whether or not to take a different method of transportation in order to arrive faster. Where's their mom to put them in a time out?

I have never in my life seen more people on a train than the one in this episode. There were LITERALLY people on the roof and hanging out the doors!

At their first stop, Goa Jomblang Cave, teams encounter a Road Block where one member must go spelunking. I'd like to thank Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego, for teaching me what that word meant growing up. Down in the cave, they had to find a mask and a sword, then bring it back to the top. That descend down is enough to strike fear into the hearts of some of the most adventurous people. Fortunately, most of these people are total adrenaline junkies.

Bill finishes first (oh yeah, they're back in the race), followed by Liz, Marcus, Jeremy, and Justin. Next up is the Detour, where the choice is Shake Your Money Maker, in which teams have to earn tips while playing an instrument or dancing, or Be A Ticket Taker, in which teams have to work as a motorbike parking attendant. Both Detours require teams to travel to an orphanage and donate their Detour money as well as all of the money in their possession - if they're smart enough to notice the instructions when they arrive. The clear choice? Be A Ticket Taker. Never depend on tips on the race.

Ticket taking proves to be the smart thing to do as Ernie and Cindy and Bill and Cathi are the first two teams to finish. At the orphanage, several teams miss the sign and head right for Kraton Palace, which is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race. In fact, the first team to notice it is Andy and Tommy, who are in fourth at the time, and then Laurence and Zac, who are in eighth. This propels the snowboarders to the top, and Andy and Tommy officially checking in first and win a trip to Ireland.

Teams then finish in the following order: Laurence and Zac, Kaylani and Lisa (who jumped from tenth to third), Ernie and Cindy, Liz and Marie, Jeremy and Sandy, Bill and Cathi, Justin and Jennifer, and Amani and Marcus.  Checking in last are Ethan and Jenna and Ron and Bill.  So the Survivors and the flight attendants are out.  Just like that, there goes two of my favorite teams...
