Last night on Top Model, the girls arrived home from panel to find Tyra in their house! She asked for all the girls to sit down, and asked Molly how she was feeling. Molly complained about the rash on her head from her weave, and Tyra said that she should suck it up. No offense to Miss Tyra, but I'd be pissed off too! That girl has been through hair hell!

 

Anywho, Tyra decided it was time for the girls to learn about the different archetypes of modeling, and determine where each of them fit, whether it's couture, bombshell, girl next door, or edgy. After that, Tyra wanted the girls to understand how to handle fame, because the winner of the competition would have fame thrust at her *snicker*. She talked about how to sign a proper autograph, and how to deal with all the negative comments each girl would inevitably have to deal with.

 

After Tyra's visit, Molly (and the viewers, let's be honest), got her wish and had her weave removed. Thank god that thing is dead! I was getting concerned...Monique told us about the small town of Hebron, IL, and how she has enough ambition to leave it behind. Once she said that, you just knew...

 

TYRA MAIL!! "Tomorrow, you'll have a real following."

 

The next day, the girls headed out to the Century City Mall to meet up with Miss Jay for a meeting with the public challenge. They would have to meet actual fans (they had fans during taping?) and be personable and still model-like, and the winner of the challenge would get to have dinner with Miss Jay. The challenge went reasonably well - Kasia was sweet and nice the entire time, while Monique appeared to just stand there looking bored. Alexandria talked a lot, and that pissed Molly off.

 

One exuberant fan, James, asked Monique for a kiss, and she said that she wouldn't do it, but Alexandria would. James approached Alexandria, and she was upset but played it off well, and she did actually kiss the guy on the cheek. She was called out for this after the challenge, and Miss Jay said that she did exactly what Monique said she would do. Kasia won the challenge and chose Brittani and Jaclyn to join her for dinner. The rest of the girls had the honor of cleaning up the mess that the fans left behind, much to the chagrin of Monique, who was swearing and complaining the entire time. She didn't understand how she didn't win the challenge, since she was involved in most of the conversations with Kasia.

 

Dinner with Miss Jay was fun for the girls, and most of the girls who didn't go were jealous. Upon arriving home from dinner, Hannah was asking how it went, but Monique was uninterested. Jaclyn asked Monique what was wrong, and in her confessional, Monique said that she just wanted to be alone and wanted to talk to her mom and her boyfriend. She said she was on the verge of an emotional breakdown.

 

TYRA MAIL!! "Oh, the tangled webs we weave!"

 

The next morning, the girls headed off to Smashbox, where they met up with Mr. Jay and photographer Jonathan Mannion. This shoot involved mud, bikinis, and the girls in a group (AGAIN, with the group shot??). The girls were split into brunettes and blondes, and the shoot began. The blondes were up first and did reasonably well, but Alexandria tried to direct the shot again, which angered Jay. Kasia did the best at the shoot. With the brunettes, Monique struggled with keeping her head up, and Brittani was the star of the shot. Mikaela was hit and miss, according to Jay.

 

Skip ahead - its panel time, with guest judge Sonia Dara, the first model of south Asian descent to be featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. The brunettes were up first, and Brittani was the star of the shot. Mikaela was the weakest link for Andre, and Monique had it right in the face, but not the body. For the blondes, Kasia had the best shot. Her film really impressed Tyra. Alexandria looked posey, and Tyra said she fell off this week.

Mikaela and Monique...come on down! Mikaela has dead eyes, and is inconsistent with her fierceness. Monique is kind of in the middle, and the judges don't really know her. Mikaela got to stay, and Monique was eliminated.

 

Tyra told Monique that she loved every minute of her in the competition because of her body, and her face, but she has to stand out and not sail in the middle. Monique said that there was something inside her that's holding back a little bit, but she didn't want to go home yet.
