Last night on Top Model, Dominique, the freckled and unique beauty from Houston, TX, was sent home. The judges felt that she walked away from the competition, and that her personality wasn't showing through enough to remain in the house. We talked to Dominique about what her personality is really like, what she really thinks about the show, and what's coming up next for her!
Q. Mike, RealityWanted: When you were eliminated, you said that you had a great personality, but it just didn't show. Tyra also said that she felt you walked away from the competition a little bit. If you had it to do over again, would you do anything differently?
A. Dominique: If I had to do it over again, I would disregard the fact that it's reality TV, and focus more on the competition. The reason why the judges said that I walked away from the competition is because I just kinda started to realize that it was all for ratings and it was all for reality TV. They didn't really care about our feelings at all.
Q. Mike, RealityWanted: You weren't sold on your makeover initially...what look were you hoping to get? And did you end up keeping the look you were given?
A. Dominique: I did want the red hair, because I've always thought about dyeing my hair red. The footage you guys saw made it look like I hated it. The people who edit know what they're doing, but if you saw my whole day, you'd know that the reason I was upset was because I was mad at my eyebrows, they were really red and I thought I looked like a clown. I did keep the look until a couple weeks ago, when I went a little lighter and made it kind of a orangey color. I don't have the curls anymore either, I went straight.
Q. Mike, RealityWanted: Which girls in the house are you closest to, or remain in contact with?
A. Dominique: Monique, Sara, Jaclyn, Ondrei was like a little sister to me. Basically I remain in contact with almost everyone, but I would never call Alexandria. I called her once after the show to get some things off my chest, but I have no use for her in my life.
Q. Mike, RealityWanted: Give us some behind the scenes info: What is the funniest thing that happened in the house that the cameras didn't get to see?
A. Dominique: Honestly, there's nothing that's funny that the cameras didn't catch. When they're not on, we can't talk to each other.
Q. Mike, RealityWanted: If you could pick one girl to win this competition, whom would you pick, and why?
A. Dominique: I think that Brittani will win the competition; she just has something about her, every picture that they show of her comes out to be flawless, and she has a story behind her. If I could pick someone to win, I'd have picked Ondrei; she has a grace about her, and there's something about her that the world would have loved to see.
Q. Mike, RealityWanted: What's coming up next for you?
A. Dominique: I'm going to continue with modeling, as soon as I get this contract off my ass [when the show's over]!
