The Biggest Loser 11

Tonight, on The Biggest Loser, Arthur is all about damage control after making the controversial decision to send Jen and Jay to the red team. He can start by proving himself in the pop challenge, where teams will be tied together and the first to untie all their knots and make it to the top of the hill will win. This week, only one team will have access to the gym and, in order to have it, they'll need to cross the finish line first. Unfortunately, Arthur won't be proving much of anything just yet because the black team chose him to sit out.

Thanks to Justin's leadership skills, the red team easily took the challenge and will be working out in the gym all week. The black team delivers the bad news to Bob and Jillian then pouts throughout their outdoor workout until Irene and Courtney finally told everyone to suck it up and focus. The mood isn't any better inside, where Rulon's attitude pushes Cara's buttons, resulting in a confrontation. He has some emotional issues from his past but he's not willing to talk about them yet - with Cara or anyone else.

Tonight's challenge seems impossible: Push a 24 ton train down a track. First of all, how?! Second of all, in what world will the black team beat the red team? A little twist has been thrown in. Along the way, players will face trivia questions and will get 15 seconds added on to their total time for every wrong answer. The team with the fastest time will get to void out the weight of one opposing team member at the weigh-in. The red team may have only gotten one question right but thanks to their brawn and speed, they finished with the best time!

In the gym, Rulon finally opened up, emotionally, and said that he let his life get out of control. When Cara questioned if he would gain the weight back once he left the ranch, because there was no competition to motivate him, he shouted proudly that he would never go back to the way things were. Another breakthrough comes from Arthur, who revisits Jillian's week 1 challenge, where the team had to push her truck around the ranch. Arthur could barely hang on and needed physical and emotional help to get it done. Tonight, he practically pushed the thing himself the entire way! He's definitely progressing.

After the last change workouts, it's time for this week's weigh-in.

Red Team
Jay: -9
Jen: -7
Moses: -7
Kaylee: -3
Justin: -5
Rulon: -11
Austin: -10
Ken: -11
Total: -63 (-2.68%)

The black team will have to lose 52 pounds in order to win and as if that's not daunting enough, the red team voids Irene's weight. However, it seems the red team would've been wiser to choose Courtney or Arthur but only time will tell...

Black Team
Irene: -6 (does not count)
Deni: -5
Sarah: -4
Olivia: -2
Hannah: -7
Marci: -6
Courtney: -7
Jesse: -8
Arthur: -20

Total: -59 (-3.02%)

In an unbelievable turn of events, Arthur drops 20 pounds for the win! I guess we should all think twice before calling the black team underdogs again.  Had the red team chosen Arthur, they would've won.  The only person safe from tonight's elimination is Ken, who lost the highest percentage of weight loss.

So it all comes down to Jay or Jen.  No surprise there.  The red team isn't about to vote out one of their own before an outsider.  Arthur's goal is accomplished - to get them out of the game because he doesn't trust them.  As Marci predicted, Jay fell on his sword in order to keep his daughter in the game.

Since leaving the show, Jay's weight has gone down to 289.  He and his wife pay a visit to Dr. Huizenga to find out that his risk of a stroke, heart attack, or getting diabetes has reduced significantly.  He's working towards his next goal... getting his weight under 199!
