Larialmy Allen from The Biggest Loser 11

This week, on The Biggest Loser, the unknowns returned to the ranch to face the teams that have been training with Bob and Jillian for the last month. Despite losing an impressive 24 pounds between them, married couple Q and Larialmy found themselves below the yellow line and up for elimination. Larialmy asked her fellow players to send her home, feeling that her husband needed the ranch more than she did. Today, we spoke to Larialmy in an exclusive interview about the mystery trainers, being up for elimination against her husband, and her progress at home.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Why did you and Q initially go with the mystery trainers?
A. Larialmy: Q and I chose to go with the unknown trainers because for us, the most important thing about being on The Biggest Loser is learning as much as we can while we're there. We knew that someone would go home the first week, so if going with the Unknown trainers promised us four weeks of education (on workouts, nutrition, and the root of the issues that caused us to gain weight) that is what we felt we NEEDED.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: When you got to the Biggest Loser resort in Malibu, were you happy with your decision?
A. Larialmy: When I got to The Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu and met our trainers, I knew I was totally happy with my decision. I think that we all made the best decision for ourselves. Both Brett and Cara's trainer methods worked wonders for me. I dropped good numbers while at The Biggest Loser, and have continued dropping good numbers now.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: After everyone came together, what was the feeling like?
A. Larialmy: After everyone came together, I felt a sigh of relief. For four weeks, I anticipated what it would be like to meet the contestants at the Ranch again. I wondered if they would be mean, rude, or accepting and nice; needless to say, everyone was very accepting and nice. They showed us the ropes, taught us wonderful recipes, and helped in any way they could. It was an awesome experience having us all together for the short week while I was there.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: After you saw how Bob and Jillian worked, were you still satisfied with your decision to go with the unknowns?
A. Larialmy: After I saw how Bob and Jillian worked, I was even more satisfied with my decision to train with Brett and Cara. Like I said earlier, I feel that I definitely made the right choice for me. The workouts that we had with Brett and Cara spiked my heart rate and kept it up all day so that I had a great calorie burn not only while working out but all day. I use their circuit and interval training at home and have the same great results.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How hard was it being up for elimination even though both you and Q had a very good week?
A. Larialmy: It was very hard being up for elimination when both Q and I had a good week, but we both told ourselves that whoever went home would go home with their head held high, and with no regrets because all the hard work and effort that we put in that week showed with our results on the scale.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Why did you decide to sacrifice yourself and your time on the ranch for Q?
A. Larialmy: I decided to sacrifice my time on the Ranch for Q because I didn't feel he was ready to come home yet. My support system at home is HUGE, and unfortunately his isn't. I knew that the same support and love I had at the Biggest Loser would be at home waiting for me, because Q's support system isn't as strong as mine, we both agreed that the longer he stayed at the Ranch; the better off he and his lifestyle change journey would be.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How are you keeping the weight off now that you're at home?
A. Larialmy: I keep the weight off at home by incorporating training techniques I learned from Brett and Cara. I do strength (circuit and interval) training with my trainer three times a week in addition to an hour of cardio, and the other three days a week I do cardio intervals (mostly running and speed walking, but sometimes I do the elliptical as well) for two to three hours on my own.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Do you have a weight goal?
A. Larialmy: Yes; my goal weight is 175 lbs.
