Survivor: Nicaragua

by Gina Scarpa

Tonight, on Survivor: Nicaragua, Yve attempts to win her way back into her tribe's good graces after being left out of the loop at the last tribal council. Holly told her that she left Yve in the dark because of her alliance with Tyrone but Yve swears there was no such thing.

When the tribes meet up with Jeff, they're surprised to find out that they won't be playing for tribal immunity, but individual immunity... two, to be exact. Both tribes will go to tribal council but only one member from each tribe will be safe. As it is every season, the winning tribe will enjoy a feast while sitting in on the losing tribe's tribal.

Players use a paddle to dig in the sand and find a rope ring. Then, they must throw it over their backs and land it in a basket attached to them. Holly and Jill (go, older women!) both finish first for their tribes, winning immunity, and face off in a game of ring toss to win the feast. Jill nails three rings for La Flor - win!

Back at La Flor, Marty tells Fabio a whopper when he says that he's a grand master at chess. Fabio being Fabio believe it, of course, and it looks like a new alliance could be forming.

Over at Espada, the younger ones are looking to take out Yve before Dan even though Dan has pretty much thrown in the towel. Benry says it's because she's playing harder than Dan which makes her more of a threat. It's a valid argument - I just don't want Yve to go just yet! Unfortunately, Alina is on the same page as Benry so it's not looking good right now...

Well look at Jane go at La Flor! She reveals to Brenda that she's hated Marty and Jill since day one and will happily write his name down at tribal. She's playin this game! Fabio throws around the idea of getting Marty to flush out the idol but he still wants him around. Sash asks Marty to vote Jane out and he agrees in order to save his own butt. Brenda is looking to get rid of Kelly B. Let's just say that La Flor is not at all on the same page right now. That's a problem.

At the first tribal council, it starts to become clear to Marty that he's not as safe as he thought he was. He covers by throwing everybody under the bus, denying that he ever said he'd vote Jane out, and mouthing to people to take Brenda out. Before the votes are ready, Marty chooses NOT to use the idol... smart? There's a tie between Marty and Kelly B and everyone has to revote and this time, Kelly B is voted out. Marty stays in the game with the idol. WHAT?!

Perhaps Dan is playing the game here after all. At tribal council with Espada, he attacks Yve for her arrogance but she makes the same argument against him.  Feeling threatened, the members of Espada decide to snuff Yve's torch.

Man, my two favorite girls ousted in the same night.  I need a moment...
