Tonight's Hell's Kitchen starts with Sabrina asking for a new beginning and guarantees her team members a change of attitude while Boris is looking to bounce back after a troublesome couple weeks. Hell's Kitchen is now down to nine chefs so it will more crucial than ever to follow through and be the best chef they can be.

Imagination is a key for good chefs and Chef Ramsay is looking to explore that fact with the roulette challenge. After calling down the chefs for an early morning meeting, he uncovers a roulette table with letters engraved instead of numbers. The chefs must take a spin and come up with an ingredient that starts with the letter their ball lands on in the roulette wheel within ten seconds. The blue team is elected to go first in this unique twist on an old game.

A unique blend of kale, yams, striped bass, and asparagus were chosen along with Boris's choice of miso. What a gamble Boris, for your sake it better pay off! The red team answers with a selection of cauliflower, bok choy, fennel, and salmon. These choices were chosen after Trev's awkward choice of rootebega. Now that each team has their five ingredients, they have thirty minutes to create a delicate dish.

As expected, Boris cooks a delicious miso to go along with the pan seared bass that is being dished out by the blue team. Meanwhile, Trev is struggling to come up with an effective way to utilize the rootebega with the grilled salmon dish being pieced together by the red team. Chips are the easy winner, so Trev started cooking his bitter rootebega chips. While the chips didn't pay off for Trev, the red team wins the challenge due to the blue team's lack of creativity with the yams and asparagus.

When one thinks gambling and roulette, Vegas immediately comes to mind. Gordy is playing the odds and sending the winning red team to a lavish resort in Vegas where they will be met by all-star magicians, Penn and Teller, and will be staying for two nights in a Rio Palazzo hotel suite. There will be no fun or magic happening back in Hell's Kitchen while the blue team is forced to prepare 1000 potatoes for the next dinner service and even though Boris nailed his miso selection, the blue team still lacks confidence in their team member.

Upon the red team's drowsy return from Sin City, Gordy calls the chefs forward to explain tonight's unique dinner service. Tonight in Hell's Kitchen is family night. And yes, Chef Ramsay's family will be in attendance. With the red team outnumbering the blue team five to four, Ramsay expects nothing less than a fantastic dinner service from both teams. Did I mention Gordy's family will be there? Better make it count chefs.

As the guests start piling in from the Hell's Kitchen carnival outside, both teams push out their welcome dish of fries. Everything is running smoothly in the first 45 minutes of dinner service which is practically unheard of thus far this season. That is until Vinny tries doubling up proportions on his risotto causing Gordy snap. Despite the warning, Vinny actually tries savoring the old risotto in attempt to push it out for Ramsay's family order. Disgusted by this, Gordy shoves the pan of risotto back in Vinny's gut and demands a fresh plate be made.

Meanwhile, on the red team, Sabrina can't seem to do much by herself as she keeps second guessing her cooking abilities and calls constantly to Trev for assistance. This results in Trev taking the reins and yelling at the rest of his team as he tries to push dishes out quickly. Unfortunately for the blue team, they are stuck with Gordy's family table and can't push the dishes out in time. Rob struggles on Ramsay's son's macaroni and cheese but finally, without the help of his other team members, is able to cook a delicious looking dish.

After that speed bump, both teams finish the dinner service as strong as Gordy has ever seen. Gordy wanted people to come in happy and leave happy and according to his customer comment sheets, 90% of Hell's Kitchen customers left happy that night. Nice work chefs!

Despite a spectacular dinner service, Chef Ramsay requests that each team put up two members for elimination. For the red team it is no other than Sabrina followed by Nona. The blue team offers up Boris and Rob. In a suspense filled moment, Gordy finally lets the chefs know that after six terrible dinner services, he has finally broke the chefs and was very pleased with the night's success. As a result, no chefs will be eliminated as nine chef's move forward.
