Big Brother Season 12

by Sandhurst Miggins

Last night on Big Brother, Rachel was on the warpath and rightfully so. Since she got into the house, she has not only been a target but "The Target," so let's face it. No one should be mad about her nomination choices. Brendon, however, is extremely upset that Rachel challenged Hayden and Kristen by saying "bring it on" after her nomination speech and wants her to apologize to them. Um...Brendon, they already challenged you guys when they put you both up for eviction in the first week and tried to get you evicted every week since then. Sometimes, I think Brendon does not realize that this is a game and people are gunning for him, whether you say you're sorry or not.

To appease Brendon, Rachel gives Hayden and Kristen a half-assed apology, which they both really didn't take to heart. Back in the HOH room, Rachel tries to give Brendon a wake up call with one of the truest statements of this season. "This is Big Brother, and this is the game. I have had to fight since I got here". Brendon is again upset that Rachel keeps using the word "I" when she says "I have been fighting." and not "We." He feels left out, poor baby.

For the Veto competition, Rachel chooses Britney, Hayden picks Ragan and Kristen gets Enzo. Rachel chooses Brendon to host the POV competition, called "Wizards of Pinball". In this contest, each competitor must try to shoot their pinball into the Veto slot, or into a slot as close to the Veto as possible. The person whose ball is the furthest away from the Veto slot is eliminated from competing in further rounds of the contest. The upside of this is that, as you get eliminated, you have the chance to win a prize. What that prize is, however, won't be revealed until after you have been knocked out and even then, another player, who lasted longer than you could exchange prizes with you.

As the Veto contest gets underway, the tension in the house has everyone on edge and no one is talking to anyone else. The first person out of the contest is Kristen, whose prize is the POV necklace. Ragan follows next, winning a Veto ticket guaranteeing him a spot in next week's Veto Competition. Enzo is the next to be eliminated, winning a flat screen 3-D television. Even though Rachel has been doing well throughout the contest, she is the next to go and the prize that she wins is a second chance for someone who has already been eliminated to return to the game. She chooses Ragan, hoping that in the event that he wins he would keep her nominations the same.

Even with the second chance, Ragan again is eliminated this time winning $5000 on his exit but has the choice to give it to anyone else and jumps at the chance to give the money away. In this game, winning any monetary prizes makes you a target. Just remember Monet and her $10,000. Ragan chooses to give it to Rachel and she instantly starts to protest because she doesn't want a bigger target on her back. In the final round, Britney scores a perfect shot into the Veto slot with Hayden scoring in the 5 slot. Britney wins the POV and is now the Wizardette of pinball. Hayden's exit prize is to spend 24 hours in solitary confinement

As Hayden rests in solitude Kristen comes to his door so that they can both share a moment together. Hayden wants her to stay and she states her intention to fight but the facts are the facts, at the moment one of them is going home.

With Hayden's confinement coming to an end, Enzo and Lane think that Hayden is going to return a crazed caveman when he comes out. They aren't that far off because when the door opens up he isn't a caveman but he is horny for Kristen who is now wearing her final exit prize from the the POV contest: a form fitting Hippie-tard.

Coming closer to the POV ceremony, Hayden is trying to convince Britney to use the POV on him. Though she wants to do it, she doesn't feel secure about her standing with Brachel. She comes up with the plan that if Racehl guarantees to put Kathy up for eviction, she will use the Power of Veto on Hayden. Hayden and Kristen go to Brachel and ask for a truce and a secret alliance in the house. Rachel mulls the idea over in her head and as far as Hayden and Kristen are concerned, all signs point to Britney using the POV and Kathy taking one of their spots.

Deciding that she needs definite confirmation, Britney speaks to Rachel about the Hayden deal. To Britney's surprise, Rachel is throwing out other names that are not Kathy's, which concerns her. In the end, Britney decides that the risk that Rachel could put Lane or Ragan, or another one of her allies up on the block, is too great and in an obviously pained Veto speech, she chooses not to use the power. Has Kristen made enough friends in the house to keep her there or will her sole reliance on Hayden for support be her downfall? Will the Brigade come through for Hayden or will "the Animal" be sent packing?
