The Real Housewives of New York City Season 3

by Chandra Clewley

We start the season finale of The Real Housewives of New York City with Ramona looking over The Pierre to figure out which room to renew her vows in.

Jill and Bethenny have their *awkward* lunch. Jill is nervous, and Bethenny thinks that their friendship has been shredded. Jill apologizes for not being ready at Ramona’s house to talk it out.  Bethenny says Jill was “disloyal” and that the friendship is “so damaged”. When Jill wants to be friends again, Bethenny admits that she is confused. In her commentary Bethenny believes that while Jill thought she was being sincere, the fact of the matter is that the tides have turned on Jill and she knew she had to do something. Jill stands her ground on Alex being toxic which Bethenny thinks is preposterous. After the lunch, Jill feels better. Bethenny, maybe not so much.

LuAnn has her launch party for her song. Sonja, Jen, Jill, and Kelly show up and love the song. LuAnn even introduces us to her Jewish Frenchy that she talked about earlier in the season, Jacques. Alex, Ramona and Bethenny do not attend the event, even though they were invited. LuAnn and Jill keep talking over Sonja, so she finally tells them to shut it, and let her speak. She then defends Ramona asking Jill to leave.

Bethenny packs up her Upper East Side apartment for greener pastures with Jason in SoHo. She is nervous but has always wanted to move downtown but admits she is doing a reverse Jefferson’s who moved uptown.

Ramona is getting ready for her vow renewal when Jill surprises her in her hotel room. This time, the surprise goes over better, and the two get a chance to talk. Ramona says it wasn’t her intention to hurt Jill, but it was an awkward situation and that Jill needs to understand where other people are coming from.

At the vow renewal, Ramona looks gorgeous. Kelly didn’t RSVP (rude!) to come because she was hesitant and thought the entire thing was concocted. She goes anyway, and gives Ramona the photos from St. Johns. Bethenny gets verklempt when she thanks Alex and Ramona for being there this year when no one else seemed to be.

Of course, we can’t get out of the finale without Jill Zarinisms such as: “Feed me! There should be hors d’oeuvres here!”before the ceremony starts.  She also points out, aloud, that there are two teams sitting on two sides of the aisle at the ceremony.  Alex and Bethenny are on one side, and Kelly, LuAnn and Jill on the other side.

It looks like there are some serious fireworks on the reunion show!
