Last night, on The City, Erin gave Olivia a heads up that a very big Guess event is coming up and she'll need to dress in the brand and, oh yeah, show up. Olivia dismisses her, saying she'll speak to Joe and try to fit it into her schedule. When Erin mentions that Elle wants to invite Whitney, as a way to make up for the whole Rue La La fiasco, Olivia has a pretty tough time hiding her disgust but then again, her face looks like that at all times.

 

Kelly is planning a People's Revolution press event and decides that Roxy needs to step away from the Whitney Eve line and do her own so thing so she's given a lot of responsibility for this event. It's probably a good idea that the two girls separate a bit. They're starting to become conjoined twins.

 

Why are Erin and Olivia constantly finding themselves in situations where they have to work together so closely? Does no one else work at Elle? At the Guess event, Olivia decides not to wear any of the brand's clothing, even though she and Erin picked out clothes specifically to wear. What a slap in the face! Whitney had a great moment with Joe when he asked to take a look at her collection personally and that's quite a big deal.

 

Roxy scores her first strike with Kelly, when she brings up Whitney's collection in front of designer Henry Holland during a meeting with him. Apparently, you never bring up one designer's work in front of another because it's rude... or because designers have fragile egos.

 

Joe calls Olivia into his office to scold her about the Guess event and she dismisses him completely. Further showing that he has no backbone and no ability to establish authority over here, he quickly forgives her and sends her on his way.

Despite being spoken to, Roxy ignores Kelly completely and mentions Whitney's line during her next meeting, with designer Daniela Felder. This time though, Daniela was not within earshot so Rox thought that was okay.

 

Whitney's meeting with Joe doesn't go as well as planned - she's told that it's not a collection and that there are a lot of things people have seen before. He calls her a "trooper" (a bit patronizing) and sends her on her way.

 

Erin heads over to see Seth, Robbie's assistant, to schedule an appointment with her. Meanwhile, Whitney meets with Kelly to vent her frustration over the amount of criticism she's receiving. Before Erin meets with Robbie, she takes a fashion journalist named Louise out to lunch, in the hopes that she'll be replacing her nemesis Olivia - and quick!

 

 

The City airs Tuesdays at 10:30/9:30c on MTV.
