Solitary 4.0

By Maureen Francisco

#5 (the professional game show contestant) split during the "monkeying around" treatment. He's out as #2 (martial arts instructor), #3 (student), #7 (missionary), and the #9 (children's party entertainer) wore guerilla suits and did "ground slaps" and consumed bananas in between rounds.

#3's body finally quit after 27 rounds and #9 followed soon after when she couldn't eat another banana. She had eaten 17 of them.

Val finally ended the treatment with #2 and #7 being the king and queen of the jungle.

From primates to inmates, the guests found themselves literally behind bars and they broke down. Their personal space cut more than half as they lived in their jail cell, a quarter of the size of the pod. Val had them write down their thoughts and feelings. #7 shared with us, she was extremely shy as a kid and felt invisible growing up. She did Solitary to show others, she's someone to watch.

And, we got to watch just how much of a competitor #7 really is in Val's "jail break" challenge. The guests who unlocked ALL five padlocks and cell door first got to escape the next treatment.

It got pretty funny watching #7 "fish" for the keys that were hung throughout the pod when she let go of the lure early. She then had to squeeze her legs in between the bars to pull the rope with her feet. She was successful!

While she finally did unlock herself out of jail, she wasn't the first. It was #6 (the Solitary veteran) who earned freedom AGAIN from the next treatment.

Val then had her guests pretend they were on Project Runway as she had them create outfits out of paper and model their creation. I had no idea the guests had artistic talent. #6 created a business suit and #2 created a two-piece outfit where he left the "bottom" open. Val liked the outfits and rewarded ALL of them with a meal.

If the guests only knew the logistics in Val's next treatment, perhaps, the guests would've skipped out on that meal. The Solitarians got to test their golf game. If they didn't par the course, they found themselves doing a penalty round where they had to sit and spin in a certain amount of time.

#7 had a rough time on Val's course. Golf just wasn't her game. She found herself in several penalty rounds doing spin cycles. For sure, she looked like would be the first to quit. Well, #7 had a stroke of luck as #9 couldn't give it ANOTHER whirl and pushed the red button first.

So, that leaves us with:

#2, #3, #6, and #7.
