Survivor: Samoa

First thing's first! You're not the king of Samoa anymore, Russell Hantz. I hate to tell you, but I think Boston Rob is kicking your tail for that title this season. There are many strong personalities, but this time it's Rob who has taken the throne.

In the opening minutes of Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains, we see the villains' camp vs. the heroes' camp. The villains need to figure it out - taking down and building a shelter four times is a complete waste of time and energy. I think Boston Rob just needs to take control and tell everyone what to do. The Heroes are using banana leaves and palm fronds and cutting the bamboo in half and their shelter is like a 5 star resort! The villains' shelter is... well how can I put this nicely? It sucks!

Rain, rain and more rain. Unless you are one of the 301 of us who have played this game, no one can understand how miserable the rain actually is. You're freezing, drenched, exhausted, and hungry! It's by far one of the worst things you will go through. It's amazing what you will do to keep yourself sane in a situation like that (i.e. Erik in the tree trunk!).

It's very ironic that the attitude of the Hero tribe is so positive and the villains so negative. However, the negative team is dominating in challenges, but not in camp life.

Regarding Boston Rob, I have to say even though the people on the villain tribe are known as villains, they all showed sympathy towards him. Even evil ol' Russell said he was worried about good old Boston. Then, we find out Rob had a case of cry baby-itis! I can't even imagine what was going through Jerri's head when she saw him like that. That had to have been one of the scariest experiences. Rob is the person holding that tribe together.

By the way, on a side note, when Russell caught the chicken, I about died. Why in the world he didn't do that for us!? Oh that's right, he was too busy burning our socks and dumping out our canteens. Way to go, king!

The Heroes had a tremendous lead in the challenge (again) and, when it came to the puzzle, they just couldn't do it. Then when James blew his top at everyone! It reminded me of Ben and Jaison combined into one person. He better be careful because having someone like that around camp can be toxic. When there is an insanely negative attitude, it can have a bad effect on everyone else. HELLO BEN! That's why I convinced everyone to vote him off. Sure enough, camp life improved after that. Way to go Villains, for winning that tarp and now you won't need to re-make your shelter for the 8th time.

They also got to avoid tribal again! It is extremely emotionally draining and, keep in mind, you're going to bed much later then you normally would. This one was intense! They were all so mad at each other. I give Tom and Colby props for sticking their necks out for Stephenie even though she went home.

Trainer's Tip #2 - Sticking your neck out for someone can eventually lead to getting your own neck chopped soon thereafter. So if you do it, be careful!

I can't wait to see what happens next.
