This week on America’s Best Dance Crew 5, there are only three spots left in The Nationals so the West really needs to show the judges everything they’ve got.
The West has dominated America’s Best Dance Crew so the pressure is on for these five crews.
First up, say “Aloha” to Hype 5-0 from Hawaii! Omarion thought their energy was enormous and he really felt it. Lil’ Mama really enjoyed them and was almost speechless. JC Chasez liked that they used the stage well.
Heavy Impact from California is a group of bigger guys who want to prove they know how to move. Lil’ Mama said it was a great performance and noticed they were a very athletic group. JC Chasez also thought it was overall a good performance. Omarion wants to see them stick around.
Bringing an edge to clogging was Blended Projekt from California. JC Chasez said it was fun and thought they mixed styles well. Omarion thought it was cool but they could’ve brought more energy. Lil’ Mama wanted to see more from them.
Up next was Break Efx from Colorado. Lil’ Mama said they had a very funky style but thought their routine could’ve been more complicated. Omnarion enjoyed the energy in the tricks. JC Chasez agreed with the other two judges and simply thought the routine was “cool.”
The last crew was Poreotix, another group from California, that brings comedy to hip-hop. JC Chasez didn’t think it was a very difficult routine but thought it was still so entertaining and he loved it. Lil’ Mama said it was the best performance of the night. Omarion could tell they were having a good time and liked that they told a story through their routine.
The judges chose Poreotix and Heavy Impact to automatically move on to The Nationals.
As for Blended Projekt, Hype 5-0 and Break Efx-they had to battle it out for the final spot.
It looked like Break Efx won the battle but what did the judges think? Hype 5-0 is the final crew the judges chose to go to The Nationals!
