Project Runway 7

Tonight, on Project Runway, the designers find out that they'll be working with inspirational women. Tim introduces them to Lisa Walker, VP of Innovation for Campbell's Soup. Campbell's has teamed up with the American Heart Association for the Go Red movement. Their challenge is to create a signature dress for the Campbell's Address Your Heart Program, with red being the prominent color and the logo present on the dress as well. They'll be designing for real women who have been impacted by heart disease... as in, not models. The winning design will be sold on Project Runway's website and will be worn at a red carpet event at Fashion Week.

While softies like Jay and Anthony shed a tear at their models' stories, Seth Aaron whines that it's going to be tough to make something that flatters his model's body and still reads high fashion. Janeane also moans that her model isn't 34-25-35. The horror! Heaven forbid that we design for anyone bigger than a size 4 or 6.

Tim makes the rounds in the workroom and tells Jesse to make sure to finish that jacket because, without it, he doesn't have much goin' on. Anna is really interesting because she's young and doesn't have much training but is very creative and has lots of natural talent. She is tracing the logo into the fabric for more of a subtle approach. I like it! Tim seems happy with Jesus, but is concerned that Seth Aaron is compromising who he is as a designer in order to please his client.

I love when designers think that they're Nina, Michael, and Heidi. Emilio and Janeane comment on what the other contestants are doing but should probably worry about themselves if they don't want to develop a bad reputation. There's reason everyone called Irina The Queen of Mean last season!

At the runway show, I'm a fan of what Maya, Ben, Jay, Anthony, and Amy did. There weren't that many standouts. Does anyone else enjoy watching real women try to act like models? They were cute! Mila, Maya, Anna, Amy, Jesse, and Jesus are all asked to stay while the rest have scores that qualify them to move to the next round.

Maya and Mila are in while Amy is the winner! That leaves Jesse, Jesus, and Anna all in the bottom. Jesse is in. Heidi thought Jesus's dress was trying to be too many things at once was tacky and cheap. Anna made some serious mistakes and her dress was poorly made. In the end, it's Jesus who is out of the competition.
