The Real World: Brooklyn - Episode 10 Burning Questions

On this week’s episode of The Real World: Brooklyn, Katelynn found that her financial woes were spinning out of control and she was forced to do something to help her situation.  She took a job dancing in a club, which forced her to miss Scott’s birthday bash, a move he did not appreciate at all.   Fighting ensued, as well as several pranks and punishments that affected other members of the house.   The roomies did come together in order to organize a special screening of the new MTV movie, about the story of former Real World cast member Pedro Zamora’s life.  The movie must have inspired them to put their petty differences aside.  Just when it seemed Katelynn had no choice but to leave the house, Scott stepped up and offered to help her out financially so that she could keep telling her story.  The Real World cast members checked in after last night’s episode to answer some of RealityWanted’s most burning questions!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Ryan, did you ever feel bad about the pranks that you pulled or got involved in?
A. Ryan: Hmmmm. No. I never crossed the line with my pranks. In the house, at the beginning, we outlined what would be considered crossing the line. All 8 of us agreed that as long as our pranks didn't affect the person in bodily harm or ruined personal items,  then everything is fair game. I had some elaborate plans for some pranks that I toned down to respect the rules. Sadly, the ladies in the house eventually crossed the line and didn't play by the rules and looked disgusting in their actions. You'll see…

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Scott, did it bother you that MTV wrote in their episode description that you and Katelynn were acting like children? How did you feel watching the episode back?
A. Scott: No, it didn't bother me at all. Katelynn and I grew real close real quick. I think a better description would have been “acting like brother and sister".  Watching the episode, well, I am just happy that I was able to help Katelynn and she was able to stay. I look back and laugh about the silly arguments we all got into. A lot of them had to do with everyone being stressed out… it wasn't just the card table or just the dishes.  It was a lot of things. But we were all under that same stress and I even explain at the end of the episode that we have all had our "acting out" week and this one was mine.  When I decide to let someone into my personal life, they are a friend forever and whether we are on good terms or bad terms at the time; I will always be there to support them.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Katelynn, after the fighting with Scott over plates and birthday parties, what did it mean to you for him to show his support for you and offer you the money so that you could stay?
A. Katelynn: Well, the timeline for this episode was fairly butchered in regards to when things took place and how it was piecemeal together. I think that Scott's actions speak to his ineffable compassion and his overall character.
