This week, on The Biggest Loser, one of the strongest teams in the game fell below the yellow line.  Though the black team lost a total of nine pounds, it was not enough to keep cousins Blaine and Dane safe.  Only one member from the team would have to go home and Blaine asked that he be the one to go home.  His wife recently gave birth, he missed his family, and he was confident that he could continue his weight  loss journey at home.  The contestants honored his request and today, he spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview about his time on the show.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Whose idea was it to try out for The Biggest Loser, yours or Dane's?
A. Blaine: It was Dane's idea. He dragged me to an open casting call.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Did you have any reservations about going on the show and leaving your family for an extended period of time?
A. Blaine: Definitely I was worried about that. We found out that my wife was expecting shortly before I found out that they wanted me to try out  again for the show.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: There have been glimpses of some gameplay this season.  What was the black team's strategy?
A. Blaine: We wanted to play like we were never going to be below the yellow  line. We knew the second we were below the line we were too big of threats not to be voted home.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How did you and Dane get along with Jillian and how did she help  the two of you?
A. Blaine: We both loved Jillian. Our lives will never be the same because we  knew her. She probibly changed us more mentally then physically.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: In the challenge, many players agreed to step off their blocks so that Mandi could have time with her husband.  In retrospect, do you wish  you would have played that differently?
A. Blaine: Absolutely not. A mother deserves to see her family more than a dad.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: In this week's weigh-in, you lost 4 pounds but it wasn't enough. What do you think you could have done better?
A. Blaine: You always ask yourself what more you could have done but we worked  hard that week but our bodies were just done. We couldn't have picked  a worse week.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: There was some talk of keeping Dane in the game instead of you,  even though you asked to go home.  Had that happened, how would you have felt?
A. Blaine: Every minute on the ranch is a blessing. I would have been fine with  it but I am glad they respected my wishes.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What has life been like since you arrived home and how have preparations gone for the Ironman challenge and the live finale?
A. Blaine: It's totally different at home but because of the mental change that took place I have been able to do it. I an just not the same guy I was went I left for the show. In my mind, I already am an ironman.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Any advice for people who would like to get on The Biggest Loser someday?
A. Blaine: Be yourself in an interview. If they don't want who you really are then be ok with that. Don't think that is the only way to do it either -- you can do it at home.
