Michael Flatley Is Lord Of The Judging On Dancing With The Stars
By: Mary Cavaliere

This week was definitely different without the old guy (that would be Len).  Michael Flatley, who is best known for his Lord Of The Dance show, was the guest judge taking Len’s place. He proved to be quite the gentleman when giving his critique.

Here’s my comments, my score for each dance, and the combined judges score as well:

Maurice & Cheryl danced the Viennese Waltz.  I thought it was stunning, elegant, and classy and Maurice was as handsome as ever. Judges Score = 21 ~ My Score = 9

Lance & Lacey danced the Jive and it was PHENOMENAL!!!  I thought Lance delivered perfection and I was going to scream if the judges didn’t give him the kudos he so deserved.   Judges Score = 27 ~ My Score =10

Susan & Tony danced the Mambo.  Susan’s dancing definitely improved this week but I still feel like she’s dancing from her head and not her soul.  Judges Score = 23 ~ My Score = 7

Brooke & Derek danced the Rumba.  It was obvious that Derek choreographed the dance with caution because of Brooke’s injury, so the dance left me wanting more because I know Brooke is capable of it.  Judges Score = 26 ~ My Score = 7

Cloris & Corky danced the Cha-Cha and all I can say is enough is enough.  I agree with Carrie Ann.  Toni Braxton left for this?   I’m not sad.  I’m MAD!!! Judges Score = 15 ~  My Score = 4

Cody & Julianne danced the Samba.  I thought it was one of Cody’s best dances, but the judges didn’t see it that way.  Julianne is having her appendix out tomorrow so Edyta will be filling in for her while she’s gone (which I hope won’t be for too long since she’s one of my all-time favorites).  Judges Score = 23 ~ My Score = 9

Warren & Kym danced the Rumba but it was too much walking and not enough dancing for Warren.  Now if this was Lance & Lacey the judges would have torn Lacey apart!  But they were all nice about it with Warren & Kym and still gave them good scores. Judges Score = 25 ~ My Score = 7

This week they showcased the first group number which was a Hip-Hop routine.  It was, well, interesting I guess.  Maurice was behind the music, Lance rocked it better than any of the other stars, Susan had no clue what was going on, Brooke was invisible, Cloris was window dressing, Cody was really cool, and Warren was really smooth.

I was excited to see Lance & Lacey take the lead with a score of 27 from the judges.  With a score of 15 I don’t see how Cloris & Corky can last another week.  Come on America, there are only six couples left.  Please don’t let another great dancer go home so Cloris can stay!
