After 28 million votes, tonight was the first elimination show on American Idol. Two girls and two guys were sent home leaving the remaining Top 20 to battle it out next week.
This week’s theme was the 1960’s so the show opened with a group number that I enjoyed more on a visual level than an audio level. Tonight’s episode showcased the Top 12 girls performing music from the 1960’s. I’ve rated each performance on a scale from 1-10 and noted why each contestant scored high or low in my book:
1) Kristy Lee Cook ~ (7) ~ A nice voice but a bit boring. Hopefully it’s because she wasn’t feeling well (the flu was going around).
2) Joanne Borgella (6) ~ I was really disappointed in her performance because I love this girl. But the entire song was off-key and not very good at all.
3) Alaina
