I'm a singer/songwriter/entertainer. From 1999 to 2007 I produced and hosted my cable TV show called TOUCHING LIVES. It was a weekly show that was about "People Helping People". Some of the segments were shot on location and some in the studio. I have written two musicals. One The Christmas Toys received an award. I have also performed in musicals. Two songs that I co-wrote and sang are in the full featured film "NURSIE". I've won 16 awards for my singing and songwriting.

When I was 25, I managed and performed with my group, SANTA FE JUNCTION, on the road, traveling the Mid and South Western U.S. In 1979, my first husband and I came to California so that I could cut a demo with the sidemen from the Steve Miller Band. During that trip, I became pregnant and had to disband my group. I wanted my daughter (Karrie) to have a normal childhood. That totally changed my life. Karrie now sings with Smokey Robinson. This is my 2nd career.

I am from a small town in Ohio of around 600 people. I had no ties in the industry and was bold enough and had enough faith to go for what I believed in. I was Home Coming Queen; Saw my musical performed in Hilo, Hawaii; Loved and I've been loved; Helped others to accomplish their dreams; I'm the 1st woman to be Chairman of the Board at the Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, CA. However...my greatest moment hasn't happened yet...

I was in a variety group(The Flowers Family)and we opened for celebrities at state and county fairs throughout the midwest & south. We played a gig at a Veteran's Hospital in Ohio. I had to tap dance around a gentleman from the audience. I didn't realize that the man I had chosen was a patient. After seating him on stage, I whispered in his ear to duck when I kicked my leg over his head. He didn't duck. I kick him up-side his head and he fell to the floor. I reseated him and kept dancing.

Politics, religion, race relations, cruelty, hatred, too much of any one subject.

I can be alone or be in a crowd and I'm at home in either invironment. I can interview anyone who speaks English. I love listening to stories and believe that everyone has a story.

My vocal ability. My ability to laugh. My willingness to help others. Caring enough to really want to see others become more successful.

Hiding out when I get overwhelmed with life and the circumstances.

I don't give up easily. I really try to analyze the situation. I am willing to learn how to do what I need to do in order to complete a task.

I get emotionally involved with issues. I internalize my problems and forget to release them though methods of exercise and physical activities but I'm becoming more aware of this and I would give myself pat on the back for re-directing this energy.

When I am on a project...I give it a focused effort. I have acquired "the show must go on" attitude!
