A major event in my life was:

I lost my father in law last year and I've had an empty feeling inside ever since. He was my inspiration because no matter how hard life ever got he never let it bring him down, he wasn't one to dwell on hard times, and I love him for teaching me that life is to short to sit and feel sorry for the things you dont have and be grateful for what you do have!
